Your Postseason Guillotine League Guide
(Almost) everything you need to keep playing fantasy this postseason
PRESENTED BY
Ahhh, the glorious scenes of a cold winter’s morn. Snow gently falling on neighborhood housetops. A teapot hisses. And an incessant, repeated CHOP. CHOP. CHOP. | Nando Di Fino |
That’s not a shirtless lumberjack in your backyard making sure you have enough firewood to last until March. It’s time to draft your Guillotine teams!
If you’re like me, you’ve spent your entire fantasy football career cleverly avoiding postseason fantasy games. Ah sorry [aggressive leaguemate], I forgot to sign up … for the 17th year in a row. 🤷 And this is going to sound super advertorial, but it really isn’t — I’ve found a solve for the postseason fantasy blahs. It is the Guillotine Leagues™️ format.
What’s missing from postseason fantasy? A sense of urgency. And waivers. And, really, pretty colors on the roster page, if we’re being honest. The two games that are live now have solved all of this.
The CHOPionship cuts 25% of a giant field each week, so you’re constantly Indiana Jones-ing with a giant boulder behind you. The Guilloteenie is a 5-team format with weekly waivers … and a weekly chop. The chop grants you freedom from having to check a team with four players eliminated in the first round, sputtering to the finish. But it also frees up active players for those teams still alive, giving you a shot at actually strengthening your postseason fantasy roster as the weeks go by.
They’re both free to play. There are money versions available (where legal). It’s fun, it’s different—and you might end up enjoying postseason fantasy!
… as you sip that tea and watch the snow cascade down.
Chop. Chop. Chop.
(Note: We have a LOT more coming this week—mailbags, mock drafts, etc.—so stay tuned.)

3 WRs to Target in Guilloteenie Drafts
by Geoff Ulrich
1. Zay Flowers, WR, BAL (Charch postseason ranks: No. 19 overall, No. 7 WR)
Flowers is going to be a very important piece of the Ravens' offense if they are going to go on a long run. They won’t beat teams like KC and the Bills simply by running the ball all day, and Flowers has plenty of after-the-catch potential.
Lamar Jackson’s WR1 posted target shares of 30% or more in four of his last eight games and has plenty of weekly upside, despite his admittedly slow finish to the regular season.
2. Puka Nacua, WR, LAR (Charch postseason ranks: No. 12 overall, No. 5 WR)
Nacua is the unquestioned leader of the Rams’ passing game, posting insane usage down the stretch, including 50% target shares in back-to-back games.
Check out Weeks 14-18 vs. Cooper Kupp in Dwain’s Utilization Report:
Thanks to their loss in Week 18, he’ll now face off against a Vikings secondary that allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing WRs this season. The thing about the Rams is that they’ve already beaten the Vikings, so Nacua also has the chance to be a longevity play who could carry your team through multiple rounds.
3. Ladd McConkey, WR, LAC (Charch postseason ranks: No. 20 overall, No. 8 WR)
McConkey has some tail risk, as the Chargers will eventually have to take on one of the big boys in the AFC, but I love his first-round setup against Houston. Not only is Houston very beatable, but they allowed the third-most TDs to opposing WRs this season and will be hard-pressed to shadow McConkey considering how much he plays from the slot.
McConkey is one of the strongest plays at this position for Round 1 and wouldn’t hesitate to be out in front of him if possible.
