Training Camp Is Here
All 32 teams report over this week, so football is back!
THE DROUGHT IS FINALLY OVER! All 32 teams will officially report to training camp this week (if they haven't already).
While some rookies are fighting to earn a spot on the roster, we'll be watching closely to see which offseason storylines hold any merit and how our favorite veterans are looking on their new teams.
A few players and storylines to monitor over the next few weeks:
WR Stefon Diggs: After an ACL tear in October (and his infamous yacht headline last month), Diggs' chances of becoming the Patriots' WR1 seem to be on track. No PUP designation for this dawg.
QB J.J. McCarthy: We haven't seen McCarthy in action since last year in the Vikings’ preseason opener against LV. But hopes are high for a franchise that passed up on QBs Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones, Nick Mullens, and Aaron Rodgers this offseason. Minnesota has made it absolutely clear: McCarthy is their guy. It may be a small sample, but if you're looking for J.J. highlights from that one, singular preseason game … I know a guy.
TE Colston Loveland: While the Bears received praise around the league for their 2025 NFL Draft, many eyes are watching and waiting for Loveland's training camp attendance after he underwent surgery on his shoulder/AC joint in January. While no one is hitting the panic button just yet, it probably wouldn't hurt for Chicago native, Pope Leo XIV, to wish him well.

Optimizing Kicker Scoring
The “How to score kicker points” wars have been fought for years, even with the author of the next section being the ring leader of the “ban kickers from fantasy” movement almost as long. Well, for those who don’t want to listen to Ian and still want to play with kickers, Chris Allen makes some very valid discussion point for the position that may just be the appendix of a football team. You know, we don’t know what it does most of the time, but when it blows up, watch out!
Forget about the kick distance determining point total. Take a look at the game situation. Is it a game-winner? Is the kicker on a Brandon Aubrey-esque streak? Should Jake Bates get extra points because he used to lay bricks? Kidding on the latter. Make sure to check out these smart and sometimes fun suggestions that could help your league get its kicks.🦵🏽

Ian’s Mailbag: What’s Cam Ward Going To Do?
Nothing says fantasy football draft szn is almost here like a good selection of intelligent questions looking ahead to the coming NFL season. Ian threw up the bat signal for inquiries, and y’all came through with some good ones. Even a good hypothetical with some not-so-golden oldies.
