Trades, Insider Buzz & Draft Risers
Lots to discuss ...
You’d think things would be fairly quiet across the NFL on a random day in early March, but that was not the case yesterday.
The table is being set for the 2026 NFL Draft and things are happening fast …
🤯 The Chiefs shake it up. Kansas City traded its All-Pro cornerback, Trent McDuffie, to the Rams in exchange for a package of draft picks that includes the No. 29 overall pick in the upcoming draft.
Fantasy spin: There are two interesting angles here. 1) Now that they have two first-round picks, does that make them more likely to spend No. 9 overall on a luxury selection like Jeremiyah Love? 2) KC’s secondary could challenge for league worst. After years of playing slow, methodical football, they might have no choice but to air it out.
🐝 NFL Insider buzz. Jonathan Jones posted a piece with a ton of interesting nuggets yesterday, including:
Kyler Murray to Minnesota is the strongest rumor right now. I hope Justin Jefferson calls Trey McBride for a reference.
The Broncos are planning to make a “splash” at RB. Now is also the time for you to make a splash by putting RJ Harvey on the dynasty trade block.
The Titans “have their eyes on” Wan’Dale Robinson. Brian Daboll loves his short king.
DJ Moore trade buzz is building and the Patriots are a potential landing spot. Dare I say great fit dot com after the team just released Stefon Diggs?
📈 Biggest post-Combine riser. RB Mike Washington Jr. blazed at the NFL Scouting Combine last week (4.33 40-yard dash) and notched the highest Speed Score of all RBs in Dwain’s Super Model since 2017. Naturally, his draft stock (and fantasy stock; he went at pick 121 in a recent draft I did) are on the rise.
The question, though, is whether he’s both good and fast or just fast. Luckily, our 2026 NFL Draft Guide—which is now live and completely free—is here to answer those exact kind of questions. Tab over to RBs, scroll down, and check out his blurb, as well as all of his relevant statistics.

The Rookie Super Model is LIVE!
Not only is our NFL Draft Guide up and running, but Dwain McFarland has come out of the lab after the NFL Scouting Combine … so we’re dropping the new Rookie Super Model. Outstanding combine performers like Jeremiyah Love and Kenyon Sadiq will see how they fare against the other players at their positions historically.
Dwain also breaks down the Rookie Super Model—the origin story for the name is, well, pretty super—and how it correlates to fantasy success for players. Today’s fantasy studs like Ja’Marr Chase, Saquon Barkley and Bijan Robinson have been, not too coincidentally, among the top performers in the model. See where today’s top prospects slot in and get a preview of things to come. ⤵️

TE Tiers: Colston Loveland Is On Deck
What a difference a year makes. Last year at this time, Colston Loveland was one of the top TE performers in the Rookie Super Model and one of the headliners of our NFL Draft coverage. Then came an uneven first half of his rookie year, followed by a furious finish and a playoff performance where he looked completely unguardable. Not too bad, huh?
In Kendall Valenzuela’s Tight End Tiers, see where Loveland slots in and if it might not be too long before he’s knocking on the door of the top tier of TEs with a certain power pair. ⤵️
