This Year's JSN

Finding league-winning gems after early rounds.

Raise your hand if you drafted Jaxon Smith-Njigba last season. OK, I see a lot of hands, and congratulations to many of you on the fantasy championships. Now, how many of you saw a receiving line of 119-1,793-10 on 163 targets coming on? Anyone with raised hands, put them down. We saw his third-round ADP telling the story that he was probably a WR2 with upside, but a WR1 overall season was just wishcasting.

Yet like Cooper Kupp in 2021 and Stefon Diggs in 2020, JSN delivered a spectacular league-winning season after being drafted later than the first two rounds in most drafts. That got the wheels turning on who might be some WRs we could target after the opening rounds, who might overdeliver on their ADP.

Since our amigos at Underdog have already started best ball drafts, we have some early data to react to that can possibly help us forecast some players who could follow in JSN’s footsteps and far exceed their ADP.

WRs Who Could Be Bargains At ADP

Tetairoa McMillan CAR | ADP: 32.6 WR13

Going into his sophomore campaign, T-Mac is building off a season when he turned 122 targets into a 1,000-yard rookie season. Yes, he still has Bryce Young as his QB, but let’s not forget all those stellar seasons when A.J. Green had Andy Dalton operating at a solid, but not elite level. McMillan will hog targets of all types in this offense.

Ladd McConkey LAC | ADP: 39.1 WR16

We’re still getting used to the uniform that looks too big on him, but this dude can ball. In 2024, he had a 26% target share and an ADOT of 10.7. He was solidly in the second round of fantasy drafts last summer. However, his production fell off dramatically in a crowded WR room, dropping his receiving yards from 1,149 to 789. Keenan Allen is not on the roster, and that will open up some underneath work in the slot for Ladd. OC Mike McDaniel hyper-fed Tyreek Hill in Miami. Ladd may not hit 171 targets like the Cheetah in 2023, but he should be top dog in an improved Chargers offense.

Emeka Egbuka TB | ADP: 47.8 WR21 (tie)

Not exactly helmet scouting this Buckeye great—JSN went to Ohio State?—but it’s hard to get past the 5 TDs Egbuka scored in the first five weeks of the season, which included top-10 finishes in Weeks 4 and 5. Injuries to him and QB Baker Mayfield slowed down the late-season production, as did the return of Mike Evans. With No. 13 now off in San Francisco, Egbuka will draw plenty of targets from Mayfield, even with sharing the spotlight with Chris Godwin.

Terry McLaurin WAS | ADP: 49.2 WR23

While I may have Matthew exclaiming “Faith in 5” ringing in my ears, McLaurin is still the main target for Jayden Daniels in a pass-catcher room that lost Deebo Samuel and has a rehabbing Zach Ertz. McLaurin is just a season removed from posting a receiving line of 82-1,096-13. Even if the Commanders add another WR like Brandon Aiyuk—as has been rumored—Aiyuk would have to prove he’s healthy while learning a new team and offense. Scary Terry has two years of rapport with Daniels, and even if they go WR in the NFL Draft, this passing game will have McLaurin as the WR1. Take advantage of the injury discount.

Cooterdoodle’s Post-Free Agency Buy, Sell, Hold

Things can (and will) change after the NFL Draft. But that doesn't mean we can't make assessments right now.

Players have moved teams this offseason, causing a massive ripple effect. Let's see how it shook out.

BUY: Bhaysul Tuten | RB | JAX

His rookie season wasn't "stellar." But even with Travis Etienne ("ay-chan," keep up) in Jacksonville, Bhayshul Tuten still managed to carve a role at the goal line, racking up 7 total TDs. With Etienne now in New Orleans, Tuten's stepping up into the Jags' spotlight. While Chris Rodriguez will certainly play a part on offense, there's no denying the enormous shoes that Etienne has left behind in Jacksonville. And it's Tuten's job to fill them.

SELL: Malik Willis | QB | MIA

I'm selling Malik Willis shares unless I see Miami finding a way to help him in the draft. Waddle? Gone. Hill? Gone. $175M of Miami's sweet, sweet cash? Dead and gone.

The Dolphins have seven picks in the first three rounds of 2026. If they don't hone in on a WR at 1.11 or 1.30—I'm so out of here. There are plenty of options on the big board in Round 1.

  • Jordyn Tyson "Three-level alpha with big-play DNA and red flags."

  • Carnell Tate "Classic Buckeye X with polish, questions and room."

  • Makai Lemon "Slot centerpiece who plays like a running back."

  • Denzel Boston "Boundary box-out merchant with functional but modest juice."

  • KC Concepcion "Rollicking motion menace who lives in space."

Make something happen, Miami.

HOLD: Drake London | WR | ATL

We all know that song about the London Bridge, but if it's announced that Michael Penix Jr. is not ready to go Week 1, we could see Drake London's ADP falling. Tua Tagovailoa taking the start isn't going to get any fantasy managers' juices flowin'. We did see London have several WR1 finishes in 2025 when Penix was healthy. And with  ATL's WR room being relatively bare at this point, we could easily see more in the future. But I'm just not excited about the move with Tua and what that might mean about Penix's availability at the start of the season. Good WR. Murky situation. Hold.

Is The Market Overcorrecting On Travis Hunter?

Our early-offseason positional sleepers series continues today, as Pete Overzet, Ian Hartitz and Kendall Valenzuela each offer up their favorite WR sleeper (going outside of the first 10 rounds on Underdog) to target in early drafts.

If you missed QBs and RBs, see below.

Travis Hunter | Jaguars

Pete: Last year, everyone was convinced Hunter was a full-time WR, and he went in the top 50 picks in a lot of competitive drafts.

This year, everyone is convinced he's a DB, and now he's going after pick 150.

What's particularly funny is that this massive course correction on Hunter's value is entirely driven by coachspeak, or I guess in this case, GMspeak. All it took was one comment from Jaguars GM James Gladstone about Hunter playing DB in 2026 and drafters overreacted accordingly.

We're essentially all playing that old game with flower petals when it comes to Hunter and the Jags' mouthpieces–he's a WR, he's not a WR, he's a DB, he's not a DB.

We can all agree on this, though–when Hunter does play WR, he's really good at it. Right before a knee injury derailed his season, he logged a game with a 28% target share and scored 24.1 fantasy points–good enough for a high-end Utilization Score of 92.

There's a famous Warren Buffet saying—be greedy when others are fearful and be fearful when others are greedy. It was smart to be concerned about Hunter's frothy price tag in 2025 as a rookie, but it's now time to be greedy and acquire as much Hunter as you can in 2026 drafts.

If the DB whispers are true, you can easily cut him back into the waiver pile. If not, you will have just landed an extremely talented wideout with top-24 upside at bargain bin prices.
