The Toughest Decision In Week 10

Week 10 news...

With the NFL trade deadline in the rearview mirror, this really does feel like the homestretch. Only five more weeks until the fantasy playoffs, so we need to lock in those Ws.

Here’s everything you need to know …

🏃 Justin Fields will start. Despite Aaron Glenn being non-committal for most of the week, Fields will start vs. the Browns today. He’s our QB18 in ranks, though, so ideally you have a better option (like Marcus Mariota).

🤷 One true Q tag. Of all the players listed as questionable, Panthers rookie WR Tetairoa McMillan is the one who seemed like he might not play after popping up on the Friday injury report with a hamstring injury. The reports now say he’s expected to play—and he looked fine doing a cha cha here—but I’d really prefer not to rely on him. I slid TreVeyon Henderson into my FLEX over him in one of my Guillotine leagues™, for reference.

⛈️ Wind in Chicago. We are looking at 20mph winds (and 30mph gusts) in Chicago today for Bears vs. Giants. As always, our weather expert Chris Allen is all over it and is preaching caution for the Bears passing game.

🤔 Which Bears RB to start? Arguably the trickiest start/sit question of the week is how to handle Kyle Monangai with D’Andre Swift back in the fold after his Week 9 absence. The Bears are seven-point favorites, and the Giants give up the third-most fantasy points (half-PPR) to opposing RBs, so this is a spot we want to attack. Assuming they both play, Dwain calls Swift a high-end RB2 and Monangai a high-end RB3.

🚀 My favorite play of the week. I’m loading up on the Lions wherever I can. The Commanders have been awful over the past three games, allowing 38, 28 and 44 points, and the Lions are coming off a tough divisional loss to the Vikings. Couple that with the ghosts of last year’s Divisional Round beatdown at the hands of the Commanders and you get a spot where I think Dan Campbell pours it on.

It’s another early game, this time in Berlin. It being in November, was there a missed opportunity to have this game during Oktoberfest? Week 10 Cheat Sheet: Next RB up for Bucs?

Coming out of the bye week, there was some tough injury news for the Buccaneers. None tougher than the news that Bucky Irving would sit out Week 10 against the Patriots. Normally, that would mean starting Rachaad White, though Chris Allen dug in and found some important info:

“I expect Rachaad White to shoot up the ranks due to his projected bump in touches, but his inefficiency with the ball in his hands should have anyone pause if they’re looking to start him.

  • Adj. Yards after Contact per Rush: 2.28, 21st (out of 21 RBs since Week 5 – min. 50% rush rate)

  • Forced Missed Tackle Rate: 9.3%, 20th

  • Yards per Route Run: 0.86, 14th

Not to mention, the Patriots have yet to allow an opposing rusher over 50 yards. It’s hard to dismiss a rusher with 18 touches in their projection. However, lowering expectations and starting high-upside receivers around White can balance out your squad. But finding one might be tough.”

Chris dove into the latest news, the rankings, examined the weather and looked ahead to upcoming weeks in this cheat sheet that is a must-read before setting lineups.⬇️

Week 10 Underdog DFS: A Commanding Team Stack

Yes, you can look at the Lions and salivate at the matchup against a banged-up Washington defense. Detroit will definitely put up some points, but when it comes to the Underdog Battle Royale, maybe take a look at the other side. There’s Marcus Mariota with his sneaky Konami Code talents. Deebo Samuel elevates to top target with Terry McLaurin still nursing an injured quad. Zach Ertz is an option to punt the TE position. This could be a national nightmare for people competing in the BR.

If you’re drafting on Underdog this morning, I mean, when you’re drafting, check out my article with plenty of last-minute advice that might just win you some cash.👇🏼

Smash Starts for Week 10: He’s No Dart Throw

Man, what a year for the Giants. Losing Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo were monumental gut-punch losses. But the silver lining may be that they’ve found their quarterback of the present and future in Jaxson Dart. And he’s been balling out, as Mark Drumheller pointed out:

“Over the past four weeks, the rookie has averaged 24.65 FP (0.5 PPR) and has eclipsed 19+ FP in all four games. For context, Lamar Jackson leads all QBs with a season average of 24 FPPG.”

Dart may be set up to pop again with the Giants facing the Bears in a game that could shoot out. Drumheller has the Giants rookie and two other players as smash starts for Week 10. And if you want the stashes, they’re here.⬇️
