The Three Hardest Players To Rank

PLUS: Dwain's perfect draft strategy for 2026

Sure, sometimes doing fantasy football rankings is easy. Should Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson be the QB1 this season?

Easy.

Allen has been a top-2 fantasy QB for six straight seasons.

Should you draft Jahmyr Gibbs or Bijan Robinson at the 1.01? I slightly prefer Robinson (AND I WILL NOT BE CHANGING IT), but you really can’t go wrong.

Ranking guys like that is child’s play.

However, there are times when I’m staring at some of these players' names, and I have no freaking clue what to do with them. Seriously, every day I am looking at these players and moving a handful because it changes every week.

So, here are three of the players that I’ve had the hardest time ranking this year. Because being a fantasy analyst isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. (Poor me, right?)

Rome Odunze | WR | Bears (My WR26)

It’s hard not to hear Ben Johnson saying he wants to have the “highest-scoring offense ever” and not be jumping at the bit to draft Bears in 2026. But Rome Odunze has, admittedly, been the hardest Bear for me to pin down after the stress fracture in his foot and the rise of Luther Burden and Colston Loveland late last season.

But it’s also worth remembering that Odunze was the WR3 in fantasy football before the Bears’ Week 5 bye last season. And with DJ Moore off to Buffalo, not all that work can just be distributed between Burden and Loveland, right?

I'm staying firm as the highest ranker on Odunze as my WR26.

Marvin Harrison Jr. | WR | Cardinals (My WR39)

Two years ago, we were drafting a rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. in the early second round. He went on to finish as the WR38 in PPR FPPG. Funny enough, he finished as the WR38 in his sophomore season as well. Pretty consistent(ly disappointing)!

But now that Marv has been “discounted” all the way down to the Round 7 in drafts, should we still be considering taking him?

I'm lower than consensus and have him as my WR39 right now.

Jadarian Price | RB | Seahawks (RB23)

Seahawks HC Mike MacDonald has not been shy in expressing his love for Zach Charbonnet. But with optimistic estimates being that Charbonnet wouldn’t return until the second half of the season, that leaves major question marks about how we should treat Jadarian Price

I still think that Price is too talented to be fading for George Holani or Emanuel Wilson.

He's my RB23, and I still might be too low.

Dwain’s Perfect 2026 Fantasy Draft Strategy - Tight Ends

At TE, I only have one big flag plant: Colston Loveland in Round 3-4. And the best values are the elite options on Sleeper and Yahoo.

Value sweet spots: Round 4

  • Bold: Strategy Pillars

  • Italics: Upside With Uncertainty

  • [Brackets]: Floor Plays (More predictable playing time but limited upside)

  • *Asterisk: Injury or Age or off-field issues

Rounds 1 to 3 TE Fantasy Targets and Fades

These are built on consensus ADP from ESPN, Sleeper and Yahoo in a 12-team setup. ESPN and Sleeper are PPR, while Yahoo is half-PPR.

Site-specific roadmaps can be found below in this article, since ADPs vary along with scoring and roster requirements.

Guidelines: You don't have to draft a TE in the first two rounds, but Brock Bowers and Trey McBride are in play if you don't like the options at other positions.

  • Rounds 2-3: Brock Bowers, Trey McBride

Fades: None.

If you decide to start without an RB based on how your board falls, dominating the TE spot with two great WRs is appealing.

Rounds 4 to 6 TE Fantasy Targets and Fades

If you took a TE in the first two rounds, chill. If not, you can target one in this range.

  • Round 4: Colston Loveland

  • Round 5: Tyler Warren, Tucker Kraft

  • Round 6: None.

Loveland is my most-drafted TE in the first four rounds of drafts—he is a SMASH selection in Round 4.

Warren and Kraft are the next two difference makers in this tier. Warren is dealing with a groin issue that we will monitor. Kraft is recovering from a mid-season knee injury last year and could have his reps managed early, but has looked good in camp and offers massive upside.

The dual-threat QBs in Round 5 are the trade-off for Warren and Kraft. I lean slightly toward the QBs.

Draft Tip: If you have already rostered more than one injured player, be careful not to stack too many together. If I grabbed Nabers, I am slightly less interested in Kraft at ADP. If I have Nabers + Egbuka, Kraft is a hard click to make.

Drafting On Sleeper? Bookmark This.

Sleeper probably has some of the most glaring ADP differences of the three major sites, some of which we’ll highlight shortly. Oftentimes when drafting on Sleeper, we find ourselves having to scroll down quite a bit to find the player we actually want, so it is imperative to avoid drafting strictly using their ADP as a guideline.

Here are the biggest Sleeper fantasy ADP differences and who to target and avoid in 2026.

Kenneth Walker | RB | KC

  • Sleeper ADP: 22.9 | Underdog ADP: 15

Kenneth Walker is an early second-round pick on Underdog, but he is sometimes being pushed up toward the end of Round 1 in high-stakes drafts. On Sleeper, he is barely even drafted as a top-24 overall player, presenting a massive value opportunity whether you love Walker this year or simply like him. This ADP will change, as Jeremiyah Love is currently somehow being drafted as a top-20 overall player despite dealing with a high-ankle sprain.

Since entering the league in 2022, Walker has averaged 16.4 touches per game (17th). During that span, he hasn’t come close to 300 touches. But with only Emari Demercado and Emmett Johnson behind him on the KC depth chart, Walker should flirt with (or exceed) the 300-touch mark. And a move to Kansas City—and perhaps more importantly, away from Zach Charbonnet—should result in more touchdown upside. Last year in Seattle, Walker averaged just 0.5 inside-the-5 carries per game, accounting for only 32% of the Seahawks’ total carries from that area of the field. Meanwhile, despite logging just 47% of the snaps, Kareem Hunt ranked 10th in the NFL with 13 carries from inside the five-yard line, averaging nearly one such carry per contest.

The move to Kansas City will also lead to more efficient looks for Walker, who saw stacked boxes (8-plus defenders) on nearly 22% of his carries over his first four seasons. Playing running back in a Mahomes-led offense certainly has its perks. For starters, you know opposing defenses will rarely ever hone in on stopping you. This past season, Isiah Pacheco saw stacked boxes on just 14.4% of his carries, the third-lowest rate among qualified running backs.

Walker is an ideal running back target in 2026, but especially on Sleeper.
