The Surprise Stack From Week 12

Week 12 recap ...

We’ll save the Shedeur Sanders discourse for the four-letter networks. Instead, let’s dive into the performances that actually mattered for fantasy yesterday …

Gibbs goes gangbusters. Jonathan Taylor still leads Gibbs in total fantasy points on the year (262.5 vs. 235), but yesterday Gibbs unseated him for the highest-scoring game in 2025 (49.9 vs. 46.1). He racked up an absurd 264 yards from scrimmage and 3 total TDs vs. the Giants. In PPR terms, it is tied for the fourth-best fantasy performance since 2020. I don’t think there is anything more fun in football right now than watching him turn on the burners in the open field. He gone … just like your chances of winning if you faced him this week.

Eating Ws: Winston to Wan’Dale. Gibbs earned the title marquee, but Jameis Winston (366 yards and 2 TDs + a receiving TD!) and Wan’Dale Robinson (9-156-1) deserve a shout for their performances. And before you go and chalk up this nice game to playing indoors at Ford Field, let the record show that, according to Winston, the Giants were both outside and inside yesterday. Schrödinger’s cat needs to step aside; there’s now a new thought experiment to illustrate the paradoxical nature of quantum mechanics.

RBs don’t matter slash Emanuel Wilson dot com? With Josh Jacobs out, Wilson did something Jacobs hasn’t done all year—rush for 100 yards (107 to be exact). He also punched in 2 TDs and almost perfectly hit his Xfinity Best ceiling projection. He helped the Packers cruise to a 23-6 win over a truly pitiful Vikings squad. 87 yards, J.J. McCarthy? C’mon bro.

The real alpha in Dallas? It doesn’t seem possible, but CeeDee Lamb is now tied with Jerry Jeudy for the most drops in the NFL this season (eight). Every time you looked up at the TV yesterday, a ball was bouncing off his hands. Meanwhile, George Pickens (9-146-1) continued to ball out and make some spectacular catches as the Cowboys scored 24 unanswered points for the win. Pickens has now outscored Lamb in three of their last four games and continues to narrow the gap in rest-of-season rankings.

What We Learned From Every Week 12 Game …

From Jahmyr Gibbs going gangbusters to Jaxon Smith-Njigba setting a Seahawks franchise record, there was certainly no shortage of fireworks on Sunday.

Outside of the stars continuing to shine, there were key runouts that could impact fantasy football outlooks moving forward. What does the split between Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet mean for fantasy football? Is Kyle Monangai taking over the 1A role in Chicago? Welcome to the f*cking Jameson Williams show, baby. The list goes on.

Looking Ahead to Week 13 with Kendall …

Happy Thanksgiving Week, everyone!! I hope this year you can tell your family at the dinner table all about Jahmyr Gibbs getting you 55 fantasy points, that you're witnessing greatness from Jaxon Smith-Njigba or that you actually DID start Jameis Winston in Week 12. Now that's a lineup worth celebrating.

On the other side of the table, you might have checked the boxscore to see Tee Higgins hurt—or you just had to laugh off the pain that was Jameson Williams faking us out once again. Either way, it's going to be a great holiday and a great Week 13—because we have every team in the NFL available this week. NO BYES!! (but gird yourselves for Week 14 ...)

There weren't too many super-important injuries across Sunday's games, but there are some players who could still be floating around your waiver wire. All rostership percentages are from Yahoo, and, as always, I try to focus on highlighting players less than 40% rostered. Also, don't forget our Waiver Wire Tool, which will have even more targets on a weekly basis.

Devin Neal, RB, Saints (3% rostered)

If Alvin Kamara is going to miss time with his knee injury—and he was questionable all week and the team is going nowhere, so draw your own conclusions!—Rookie Devin Neal (an adept pass-catching back) looks like he can step right in and take over a lot of the reps.

We had Neal as a "highly intriguing NFL potential NFL starter" during draft season and Sam Wallace listed Neal among his 2025 dynasty sleepers.

And, hey, if you miss out on Neal, you might want to consider Audric Estime, who could —COULD—do one of those "surprise, it's me!" moves and take all the reps when all the signs point to someone else. But this is why we love this game, right?

Chimere Dike, WR, Titans (14% rostered)

The Titans have been hit by the injury bug, with Calvin Ridley out for the season and Elic Ayomanor down with a hamstring injury. Chimere Dike took advantage of his opportunity and caught 5 of his 7 targets for 44 yards and a touchdown against the Seahawks. He also returned a punt for 90 yards for another touchdown. This team isn't necessarily firing on all cylinders, but in deeper formats, Dike is worth a look.
