The Biggest Question In Fantasy

More questions than answers...

It’s been a while since we last checked in on Travis Hunter.

When I initially pounded the table for him before the NFL Draft, he was a 10th-round pick. He then quickly rose five rounds in ADP after the Jags gave up a haul to select him No. 2 overall.

As expected, the dominating question surrounding Hunter in fantasy land remains unchanged: How much WR will he play!?

And depending on the day (or hour), the pendulum on that topic will swing wildly back and forth.

Exhibit A: Here are the summaries of his last five blurbs on Rotoworld:

  • Coen: Hunter will ‘roll on defense’ next week

  • Hunter ‘very obviously’ to have big offensive role

  • Travis Hunter has practiced with Jaguars’ defense

  • Jags GM: Travis Hunter could play whole game

  • Jags sign WR/CB Travis Hunter to record deal

Got it, thanks for clearing that up, Jags!

Even the Jacksonville social media team is having fun with the “will he or won’t he” game. They sent out two announcements after he signed his record-breaking rookie dealone listing him as a WR and one listing him as a DB.

Hunter is more expensive now as he’s settled into the fourth round of Underdog drafts, although he has started slipping after the recent DB chatter.

We currently have Hunter as our WR30 in aggregated ranks and WR36 in aggregated projections. That spread makes sense to me. It’s very hard to capture the wide range of outcomes for Hunter via a single projection, but the upside scenarios warrant a more aggressive ranking.

Personally, I’ve been passing on Hunter in recent drafts because I think he’s going to get cheaper over the next months (and is a lock to be more affordable in home league drafts), but I’ll never begrudge anyone for clicking on the NFL’s Shohei Ohtani.

The Fun Is Not Only In The Drafting

Hey, we know that the best part of playing best ball is the drafting. OK, that part about not having to set lineups on a weekly basis is a pretty close second. But after you’ve finished drafting all those teams—many done simultaneously—how do you keep track of them during the season?

That’s where the Best Ball Hub comes in. You not only unlock the ability to track player exposures, but Week 17 stacking correlations, team builds, and everything in between. And during the season, you can monitor your teams’ success to see how all that drafting worked out for you. FREE!

The Best Ball Hub is there for you when you need it most … like a best (ball) friend.

Don't Sleep On These QBs

We all remember how wonderful it was to draft Jayden Daniels in the double-digit rounds last year. That was fun, right? The eventual OROY and overall QB5 on the season, Daniels rewarded so many fantasy managers who took a chance on him. But is hope all lost to get a QB find in the late rounds?

Kendall Valenzuela presents four quarterbacks who have varying degrees of sleeper potential to steam up fantasy teams this fall. They include a pair of sophomore signal-callers looking to break out, a third-year player aiming to continue a resurgent second half, and a still-young former first-round pick who is ready to make it you know where. See if these players could be targets for you. 🎯

Rams Are Ready To Take a Super Bowl Shot

The Rams were just a play or two away from knocking off the eventual champion Eagles when a late drive stalled after Matthew Stafford charged the offense down to the Philadelphia 13 with a little over a minute left in the snow game. Now after some questions about whether he’d be back, Stafford is in the saddle for what could be a Super Bowl ride for the 2021 champs.

Ian Hartitz takes a look at Rams House for 2025, with Stafford having one of the best WR duos in the NFL in Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Can they both be productive receivers for fantasy? It’s happened before under Sean McVay and Stafford. And can Kyren Williams hold off another challenge from the NFL Draft to be a highly productive, if boring, running back? Ian breaks it all down and then some in this preview to kick off the NFC West. ⬇️
