Strangely Quiet For These Free Agents

Maybe too quiet

You hear that? That’s the sound of an offseason lull. Disconcerting, ain’t it?

Free agency has died down so much that people are VOLUNTARILY talking about Carson Wentz signing with the Vikings. Look, I love you all very much and am committed to providing you with the best fantasy insight money can’t buy, but … no. I won’t do that to myself. Or you.

Jauan Jennings

Jennings added 132 catches, 1,618 yards, and 15 touchdowns to his resume over the last couple seasons. But you probably remember him best as the guy who randomly popped off for 175 yards and three touchdowns that one time in 2024. He’s also lauded for his aggressiveness as a run blocker. So what’s taking so long to find a suitor?

Best landing spot: Raiders

I’d like to see him with the Raiders in the Kubiak-via-Shanahan offense. Jennings could probably have a Michael Crabtree-esque transition from San Francisco to Vegas.

David Njoku

The Eagles couldn’t just be cool and trade away A.J. Brown, let Dallas Goedert walk and then sign Njoku to become the preferred target (with DeVonta Smith) for Jalen Hurts, huh? Rude. Njoku got leapfrogged by rookie sensation Harold Fannin Jr. in Cleveland, but if he can get beyond his knee injuries, the former Brown could still do some damage for your fantasy roster.

Best landing spot: Panthers

There’s not many spots available where Njoku could realistically become the second option in the passing game. But if anyone could use a big, tall target—especially in the red zone—it’s the vertically meager Bryce Young.

Brandon Aiyuk

OK, so he’s not technically a free agent. Yet. But the 49ers made it clear they will release him eventually. And when that day inevitably comes, we have to hope Chris Allen and I are both wrong about his career trajectory.

Best landing spot: Commanders

The cynic in me wants to send Aiyuk to Cleveland, but I’m trying to be a more hopeful person. So let’s put him in a position to thrive with a quarterback who desperately needs a little consistency at receiver. Maybe he can surprise us all with a return to his 2023 form.

Najee Harris

Just wanted to make sure everyone remembers this guy is around. Hi, Najee! Hope your eye is doing well.

Best landing spot: Wherever makes him happy.

Years Of Guarantees With Josh Allen

If you’ve had Josh Allen in fantasy any year since 2020, you’ve been more than happy. He’s been the QB1 five times in that span, the only year he didn’t finish up top being 2022 when he fell all the way to QB2. He just finished his followup to his 2024 NFL MVP season with 3,668 passing yards and 25 TDs, adding 579 rushing yards and 14 more scores on the ground. Betting against him continuing his fantasy dominance for another five years would be ill-advised.

That’s exactly what the Xfinity 5-Year Price Guarantee means for your wallet: 5 years. The same price. No contracts or commitments. Just peace of mind knowing your connection, and your cost, will go the distance. Sports can be unpredictable, but your internet price doesn’t have to be. Is Breece Hall A Potential Steal In Dynasty Startups?

Admit it, you had thoughts and dreams of Breece Hall ending up in a dream RB situation, not unlike Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry in 2024. Perhaps KC, getting dumpoffs from Patrick Mahomes. Maybe even New Orleans as one of the focal points n the Saints offense. Yet he was given the non-exclusive franchise tag, so he’s almost certain to be back with the Jets, as uninspiring as that may seem. Tipp Major broke down Hall’s return, and the ramifications for dynasty startup drafts. One thing that Hall proved last year, he is the top back in that RB room:

Workload control—Committee concerns swirled around Hall last offseason, particularly with Braelon Allen in the fold. Early-season usage in 2025, however, told a different story. Before Allen’s Week 4 injury, Hall averaged 16 touches per game and maintained a 60.6% snap share. In comparison, Allen contributed just 4.5 carries per game, positioning him more as a complementary piece than a legitimate threat to Hall’s role. Until a clear on-field shift emerges, Hall should remain the focal point of the Jets’ backfield. Dynasty managers can take comfort in knowing that Hall’s workload is unlikely to be significantly diluted, at least in the immediate future.

Can Hall be an effective RB2 or even an RB1 on your dynasty roster? Tipp breaks down the case to draft Hall.

Makai Lemon Scouting Report: Not Your Grandad’s Slot

Thanks to Cooper Kupp and Amon-Ra St. Brown, among others, slot wide receivers are breaking out of the mold of diminutive pass catchers who run inside and fall to the ground shortly after making a catch. Not anymore. USC’s Makai Lemon is a player who is cut from the new cloth of slot WRs, YAC monsters who also catch some balls deep downfield. Ian Hartitz pointed out Lemon’s great work after the catch as a reason that he is likely to excel at the NFL level:

YAC ability is elite: There are plays where Lemon makes multiple defenders fall over themselves. His straight-line speed isn't going to completely scare anyone, but his combination of quickness and ferociousness makes him a helluva problem to get to the ground once the football is in his hands. The ability to rack up yards after the catch is truly Lemon's superpower and should be the calling card for anyone willing to dub him as WR1 in this draft class.
