- So Much To Love/Hate For Week 5
Cardinals are red.
Lions are blue.
It's Love/Hate Week 5, and we've got a lot of lovin' to do.
Here are some of my favorites from Matthew Berry's Love/Hate List:
LOVE: DET @ ARI
Jared Goff: Berry's QB2
Jacoby Brissett: Berry's QB9
Michael Wilson: Berry's WR10
Jameson Williams: Berry's WR23
This is quite literally the fantasy matchup of the week, folks. Three players from this game alone have made it onto Berry's Love list for Week 5.
And it's easy to see why:
The team with the highest implied team total in Week 5: DET
The team allowing the highest rate of passing TDs: ARI
The team allowing the 2nd most fantasy points to WRs: DET
If you've got a piece of these offenses, congrats! If you're facing against them on Sunday … Sorry?
And as my friend Coach Gene Clemons would say: Bris-sett it and forget it!
HATE: JALEN HURTS
Jalen Hurts is playing in London in Week 5. He's got a decimated o-line. And he's averaging fewer yards per pass attempt (5.7) than a kid on a playground at recess.
Not great.
But I do have good news for fantasy managers who are tired of watching their starting QB's fantasy points decrease every single week … If you sleep in late on Sunday, you'll have the pleasure of missing the 9:30 a.m. ET matchup!
LOVE: AARON JONES
31-year-old Aaron Jones might be tied as the 4th-oldest active RB in the league. But here's a live look at the Saints' defense against opposing running backs this season:
Buy Jahmyr Gibbs, The Future Is Bright
What a runway for Jahmyr Gibbs to continue an incredible runout to his NFL career. In his first three seasons, his total yards never dipped below 1,261, and twice he’s gone over 1,800 yards. In the last two years, he’s combined for 38 TDs. Oh yeah, he just turned 24. The time for forward-thinking fantasy managers to buy in on Gibbs was right after he was selected 12th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. Now he’s vying to be taken as the 1.01 in drafts ahead of this upcoming season. With David Montgomery no longer in Detroit, there is no more sharing the spotlight (or touches) for Gibbs. And savvy managers who invested in him are all smiles.
UNest works the same way. You don't wait until your kid is 16 to start building their financial future. You start now, when time is your single greatest advantage. A tax-advantaged investment account that grows with your child, set up in under 10 minutes. The long game is always the smartest play, on the field and off it.
