Round 6: Detour Ahead

Heed the warning signs.

As I'm writing, we are making our way through the winding roads of Arkansas, relying on GPS to warn us of any upcoming "problem spots" that might make our trek home less enjoyable. But why should I only look ahead on road trips?

It's important that I avoid pain and misery whenever possible, even in fantasy. And boy, do we have a big warning sign on the horizon. I hope you're ready to take a detour before Round 6.

CAUTION: Brian Thomas Jr., Marvin Harrison Jr., Alex Pierce and Parker Washington approaching

As it stands right now with ADP, Round 6 presents several "problem" spots at the WR position that you need to at least be made aware of. If you're not careful, you could be forced to pick a WR with major question marks. And when you're on the clock, you won't have much time to weigh your options.

Brian Thomas Jr.
Underdog ADP 64.7
I'll ask it: Is BTJ even the WR3 on this stacked offense?? After finishing WR42 in 2025, it's worth the inquiry. Travis Hunter could take more snaps at CB, or he could outshine on offense similar to his Week 7 matchup against the Rams where he went 8-101-1. And don't forget about Parker Washington, who finished with 12 FPPG (18th) and 71.1 yards per game (15th) during his final nine weeks in 2025

Marvin Harrison Jr.
Underdog ADP 67.2

Similar to BTJ, is MHJ even the WR1 on his offense any more? Michael Wilson stepped up and showed out during the second half of 2025 with five top-10 fantasy finishes at the position and five-game scoring streak to close out the season. Oh, and did I mention Kyler Murray is gone and Jacoby Brissett is holding out for a new contract? Plus, if you ignored that silly little "TE" designation next to his name, you'd know that Trey McBride is the true alpha WR1 in Arizona anyway.

Alec Pierce
Underdog ADP 71.7

The highs are high, but the lows are low. Pierce could bless your team with 15-20 fantasy points, but he could also end the week with 1 catch for 3 points in your lineup. An ankle procedure in April will also keep him sidelined for three months ...  Butttt, it's hard to ignore the Colts' confidence in Pierce, who signed a $114M contract this offseason.

Parker Washington
Underdog ADP 74.1

Does BTJ come back from his "down year" and remind fantasy managers why he finished WR4 during his rookie season? Ugh. This entire WR room is an ever-approaching caution sign.

DETOURS AVAILABLE AT NEXT PICK

If these Round 6 WRs don't sit right with you, it's the perfect spot to take a detour at QB. Joe Burrow, Jayden Daniels, Jalen Hurts, Caleb Williams and Drake Maye are all being drafted picks 63-71 on Underdog right now, and I'd be happy with any of those on my roster.

By looking ahead, you can avoid a pick that might make your draft feel a lot like sitting in standstill traffic with a full bladder, running on an empty tank of gas.
