Love/Hate in the Murky-Murk

Wading through backfields ...

When one murky backfield opens, another murky backfield closes. And sometimes, being at the top of a team’s depth chart just isn’t enough for an RB to warrant a fantasy start in your lineups.

Yuck.

Thankfully, Matthew Berry’s Love/Hate List for Week 6 is here to help me wade through the murkiness of some ever-changing RB rooms.

To paraphrase Tenacious D: Won’t you take me far away from the murky-murk, Berry?

Rhamondre Stevenson: Love 💕

There’s nothing standing in the way of Matthew Berry’s RB9 this week. Rhamondre Stevenson is poised to take over in NE with TreVeyon Henderson trending toward sitting with an ankle injury.

And we’ve already tasted a full game of Stevenson’s usage sans Henderson back in Week 1:

  • 19% target share

  • 23 rushing attempts

Not bad. As long as Mike Vrabel doesn’t get too cute with Corey Kiner we should be fine, right?

Right?

Woody Marks: Hate 🤮

This week’s London Showdown is projected to be an RB Shutdown for Houston.

While the legend of David Montgomery’s groin has cleared a path for Marks’ ascension, it couldn’t have come at a worse time.

Marks will now be fighting to break the dreaded “39-yard curse” against a stout JAX run defense that is averaging a league low of 2.5 yards per carry.

If Marks can log just 40 rushing yards against the Jags on Sunday, he will be the first RB to do it all season long …

MarShawn Lloyd: Love
