It’s here. Super Bowl LIX, er, 59. The Big Game, as some people want to call it. Feb. 9, Chiefs-Eagles, is most definitely going to be Super Sunday.

And to better serve you this week, we have Fantasy Life staff members all over New Orleans, bringing you our best coverage to help you enjoy the game.

Want live interviews with people from the NFL world? Kendall Valenzuela and Adam Ronis are on Super Bowl Radio Row (daily on SiriusXM channel 87 from 1-3 p.m. ET) … and even on the field during Media Night.

Cooterdoodle gives fans swooping down on NOLA a locals’ version of where to go—and even local etiquette—to have a great time in the Big Easy.

We have Jon Batiste national anthem talk, and stay tuned for our favorite Super Bowl halftime shows and trivia. Can you name who has the longest TD run in Super Bowl history without looking it up?

If you’re up for a head-to-head Guilloteenie battle with a friend, you can draft teams all the way up to kickoff. Free!

We’ll have plenty of fantasy spin on how the game is going to shake out.

For up-to-the-minute Super Bowl action, follow our Fantasy Life socials—Instagram, X, BlueSky, TikTok. And now, for something completely different … let’s see what the imagined Jets are doing in two new mocks.

Freedman’s Latest NFL Mock Draft And The Pick That Would Break Fantasy Internet

It’s a testament to the NFL Industrial Complex that February trade rumors and mock drafts generate equal (if not more) buzz than the Super Bowl itself.

We’ve been running mocks since the middle of 2024. Matthew Freedman’s latest just went live. His biggest surprise? Tetairoa McMillan to the Raiders at No. 6 (more on that below)

Yesterday, NFL.com’s Draft Analyst Lance Zierlein dropped his first 2025 NFL mock draft and it did not disappoint.

Here was my internal monologue while scanning the top picks…

Pick 1 … ya, that checks out.

Carter goes 2 to Cleveland, yup.

Oooo, Hunter to the Giants is interesting.

Patriots go OT. Makes sense.

Jags grab a CB, looks good.

Raiders get their QB (and a new shadow GM).

**record scratch**

WAIT, THE JETS DID WHAT?!?!?!

Seeing Ashton Jeanty mocked No. 7 overall to a team with Breece Hall and Braelon Allen was a better jump scare than anything I’ve seen in a horror movie.

Normally, a writer in my position would say something like …

“If the Jets actually select Jeanty at No. 7, I’ll print out this newsletter and eat it on the air.”

But this is the New York Jets we are talking about. All bets are off.

Anyway, make sure to check out Freedman’s newest mock below.

Warning: This Will Make You Hungry

We all love football, but unless your team is playing on Super Bowl Sunday, the day is as much about the food as it is about the game. Today we're polling the Fantasy Life crew on their favorites for the big game. We've got recommendations, recipes, and hot takes that will put your spiciest snacks to shame and set you up as the perfect host for your Super Bowl 59 potluck.

Let's dig in with a regional question, but be careful if you're reading on an empty stomach.

Pick one: Philly Cheesesteaks or Kansas City BBQ?

I hate having to pick just one, both are great options, but if I can only have one I'm going Kansas City BBQ all the way!

- Jonathan Fuller

It’s Philly Cheesesteaks and it’s not particularly close … Heartburn and indigestion for a week? No thanks!

KC BBQ all day, baby! There's just no substitute for it.

Because whichever food I choose could be considered an endorsement for that team—and because I’m rooting for a historic Super Bowl double loss—I’m going with Secret Option #3: Jambalaya. In honor of the host city.

Kansas City Cheesesteaks. Always be the contrarian in the room.

KC BBQ, no hesitation.

As a card-carrying big back, I resent the idea that I have to choose. What's the point of being a football fan if I can't indulge in all of the yummy regional goodness? At my Super Bowl party, I like to recreate dishes made famous in the participating cities. I would never want to choose. I feel sorrow for those who feel they must.

BBQ. I like variety and a cheesesteak is just one giant behemoth ball of the same thing.
