Is It A Mess? Or An Opportunity??
Hear me out ...
That’s the age-old question when it comes to RBBCs, AKA “Running Back By Committee.”
On the one hand, no one wants to touch a backfield teeming with ambiguity.
On the other hand, the absence of a clear lead back creates very attractive prices on the RBs who could end up being league winners if they win the job.
If you are hesitant to pick a side, it’s worth noting that blindly ignoring “ambiguous” backfields would have been a massive mistake over the years.
Target Ambiguous Backfields For Upside
In 2023, Dolphins RBs De’Von Achane, Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson were all going after pick 100 because no one knew who would be the lead. You probably remember what happened next: Mostert led the league in TDs (21), and Achane racked up nearly 1,000 total scrimmage yards and 11 TDs as a rookie.
I’m not saying the 2026 Commanders will be a replay of the 2023 Dolphins, but I do think it’s a backfield we shouldn’t ignore even though every bone in my body wants to let someone else deal with this mess.
Recent reports suggest there are SIX RBs in the mix—Rachaad White (this year’s Javonte Williams?), Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Kaytron Allen, of course—but don’t forget about Jerome Ford and Jeremy McNichols … and that’s all before I mentioned the UDFA that they seem to really like, as well (Robert Henry Jr.).
Oof.
So, how to play it? We have White and Bill as our consensus RB39 and RB40, respectively, right now. I think White is a fairly stable asset—he’s going to be the third-down back whom they trust to catch passes and protect Jayden Daniels.
But beyond that? I’m pretty spooked about Bill right now. There are so many ways he can lose that early-down work, whether to one of the other veterans or due to the emergence of one of the rookies.
Similar to the takeaways for some other Zero-RB backfields, be patient for now, but be ready to pounce when the depth chart solidifies.
It’s not outlandish to think that two of these guys could represent big wins at cost.

Is Parker Washington The Jaguars WR To Target? 🎯
One of the true headaches for fantasy managers this offseason is figuring out the Jacksonville Jaguars WR room. In one corner is Brian Thomas, he of the gargantuan 2024 rookie season—and major 2025 falloff. In another corner is former Raider and late-season acquisition Jakobi Meyers, who was wonderful as a Jag. Speaking of Jags who had their moments, Parker Washington has a chance to emerge as a hidden gem in the sixth round. And we haven’t even gotten into Travis Hunter yet. The answer to tapping into the Jacksonville offense may be to draft Trevor Lawrence … then move on.
Kendall Valenzuela has some ideas on which way to attack this offense in drafts. Her SiriusXM mailbag provides answers to other questions you might be asking yourself. ⤵️
Is Davante Adams Worth The Risk In 2026?
Stats can be deceiving. If looking at the final league leaders and seeing Davante Adams’ name atop the receiving TDs column with 14, some less-seasoned fantasy football managers might just click on the Rams’ WR without thinking. Then look at his age (33) and the fact that he missed three games last season with a hamstring injury. What’s that they say about past injuries often forecasting future injuries?
That’s why Tipp Major is looking to pass on Adams in his latest piece on risky players to draft this year. Who are the players he’d rather draft instead of the man with six 1,000-yard seasons in his career? ⤵️
Not Drafting Josh Allen Enough?
While many fantasy experts are pointing to Rounds 6 and 7 as the point to pounce on QB, are we forgetting that Josh Allen is all but guaranteed to finish in the top 2 among fantasy QBs? That’s all he’s done since 2020. Kendall, Dwain and Ian break down players they want to draft more of in the months ahead.
