- Important Notes For An Ugly Day
I’m not going to sugarcoat it. We have a gross slate of games today. After three games on Thanksgiving with projected point totals over 49, we don’t have a single game today over 45 points.
Here’s everything you need to know as you scrape and claw your way to a victory in Week 13…
❄️ Snow storm in Cleveland. Here’s a look at the stadium from last night. The snow isn’t even the main issue. Models are also expecting sustained winds around 20mph and gusts “pushing around 35 mph.” Only 33.5 points are expected this game, so I wouldn’t want to start anyone other than CMC, Quinshon Judkins, and George Kittle. Chris Allen wrote a great “does wind matter?” piece you should read over coffee!
🙏 Guess who’s back? Both Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot) and Marvin Harrison Jr. (appendectomy) are expected to return today after extended absences. Both are tricky to rank. How much work have Sean Tucker and Michael Wilson earned in their absence? As you can see with our Bucky rank, we are practicing caution…Also while we’re here - Darren Waller is back. Hopefully you have a better TE option, though.
🚑️ Injury round-up. Aaron Rodgers will play through “several broken bones” in his left wrist today…Chris Olave (back spasms) is expected to play…Omarion Hampton won’t return this week…For a full injury round-up, check out this post.

What Will Bucky Irving Do Coming Off Injury?
It hasn’t been easy watching Bucky Irving on your bench these past eight weeks, but our long-awaited return of the second-year RB is here. Irving is expected to suit up against the Cardinals in a game that will also see his QB Baker Mayfield fighting through a (non-throwing) shoulder injury, stopping at nearly nothing to play in the Bucs’ quest to repeat as NFC South champions. Jorge Martin provided a look at how Irving could perform in his first week back:
“The Bucs face the Cardinals, who have allowed over 80 rushing yards to a running back in each of the past four games. On the season they’re allowing 24.5 fantasy points to RBs, which is the seventh-highest mark in the league. On the receiving side, Travis Etienne just posted 30 yards against Arizona, so Irving’s pass-catching chops could come into play this week.”
Irving and Mayfield aren’t the only players facing injury uncertainty this week. Several more with injury designations are included, with quick analysis for those expected to play. ⬇️

Justin Herbert is a Week 13 Smash Start
“Skate to where the puck is going,” is a famous quote by the Great One, Wayne Gretzky. Why the hockey metaphor in Week 13 of the fantasy football season with the playoffs on the line? Well, if you look back at Justin Herbert’s rough Week 11 with a paltry 81 passing yards and intend to sit him, you might be missing on a smash start.
Mark Drumheller pointed out that Herbert is facing a great matchup in the Raiders. A quartet of quarterbacks have recently diced up the Raiders, and while there will be plenty of Silver and Black in the crowd, the game is still at SoFi Stadium. Plus, Herbert has passed for 2+ TDs in six games this season. Look for Herbert to SMASH! ⤵️
