He Can't Keep Getting Away With It

JT x 3 ... again!

Hmm, I’m starting to think I should have selected Jonathan Taylor with the first overall pick in my fantasy leagues …

Here’s your recap from yesterday’s action …

🎩 Another hat trick?! It’s honestly getting absurd at this point. Taylor notched his fourth three-TD game of the year (watch your back, LT) while pummeling the Titans for 37.4 fantasy points. That puts him at 14 TDs in eight games (and at a hilarious pace for 30 TDs).

Speaking of hat tricks, Broncos rookie RB RJ Harvey had a trio of tuddies himself—and only needed six touches to get it done!

🤝 If three’s a crowd, two is company. It’s not quite as cool as three, but these players scored two TDs yesterday: James Cook (216 rushing yards), Breece Hall (also had a passing TD!), Saquon Barkley, Chase Brown, Troy Franklin and Dallas Goedert.

✈️ J-E-T-S. There were more consequential games on the slate and more impressive performances (sup Drake Maye), but nothing can top the storylines surrounding the Jets win in Week 8. In addition to a QB benching that had to awkwardly be undone, the team also learned that franchise legend Nick Mangold passed away at the age of 41. Justin Fields and co. responded with an emotional 39-38 win over the Bengals,

🥳 National Tight End Day. Not everyone celebrated (I’m looking at you, Tyler Warren), but plenty of our inline heroes partook in the festivities, including Tucker Kraft on SNF.

🚑️ Key Week 8 injuries. Cam Skattebo suffered a brutal ankle injury vs. the Eagles that will sideline him for the rest of the year. We were all Jaxson Dart in this moment. Other big ones to keep tabs on: Quinshon Judkins (shoulder) and Saquon Barkley (groin). Speaking of which …

📆 Early Week 9 waiver ideas. Kendall is all over it, per usual. There are RBs on the Giants, Browns and Eagles who need to be on your watch list in lieu of those aforementioned injuries.

It’s kickoff time. Lineup’s set. Now GO HARD.

You’ve been grinding the waiver wire, dodging injury reports and swapping flex plays until the last second. This isn’t casual—it’s commitment. And when the games start, you’re all in. That’s what it means to GO HARD. Whether you’re watching every snap or refreshing your app with unhealthy frequency, Mike’s Hard Lemonade is the perfect sidekick for your Sunday sweat. Bold flavor. Tucker Kraft Celebrates, and RBs Headline The Slate

Tucker Kraft is becoming one of the more reliable tight ends, especially with his volume increasing. Kraft had been reliant on TDs in the first few games, with three scores on 18 catches in the first five games. Over the last two games, Kraft has had 19 targets. He had a career game with seven catches for 143 yards with two TDs on nine targets on Sunday night, putting an exclamation point on National Tight End Day.

Outside of the TE position, RBs headlined the slate, for better or worse ...

There are always games that don’t make sense or a player’s stat line that doesn’t make sense. Bijan Robinson was the player this week with nine carries for 25 yards and three catches for 23 yards. The Dolphins came in allowing the third most fantasy points to running backs per game and Robinson had at least 92 scrimmage yards in every game before this dud.

On the flip side, Saquon Barkley didn’t have one game with 100 scrimmage yards and didn’t have a run longer than 17 yards through the first seven games. He finally did against the Giants with a 65-yard run and rushed for 150 yards on 14 carries with a TD and caught four passes for 24 yards with a TD. Barkley left the game late with a groin injury, but wasn’t concerned

Looking Ahead to Week 9 with Kendall …

There are four teams on a bye in Week 9, so you'll be without the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There might be some hidden gems on the waiver wire this week, so pay attention—your leaguemates may have been forced to drop some good stashes (I saw at least two late-week Tyrone Tracy drops for a TE, for instance) last week, so make sure to take advantage of that.

The NFL trade deadline is also something we have to keep an eye on! The deadline is on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. ET, and we could potentially see some fantasy producers on the move. Anticipate or react? It's up to you, but we'll have you covered throughout the week.

All rostership percentages are from Yahoo, and, as always, I try to focus on highlighting players less than 40% rostered. Also, don't forget our Waiver Wire Tool, which will have even more targets and suggestions on a weekly basis.

Tyrone Tracy (48% rostered) / Devin Singletary (2% rostered), RBs, Giants

Death, taxes and our favorite fantasy players going down with injuries. Sigh. Cam Skattebo suffered an awful dislocated ankle injury during Sunday's game against the Eagles and had surgery to repair it. It's more than likely that Skattebo is going to miss the remainder of the season, which makes Tyrone Tracy a must-add in fantasy football.

Tracy finished the game with 10 carries and two receptions for 53 yards and will now step into a bigger workload going forward. I also want to shout out Devin Singletary here, too. He's not a priority but someone to consider in deeper formats, especially if the Giants don't add another running back before the trade deadline.

Let's not forget Tracy had an impressive run from Week 8-17 last season as the Giants' lead back. We've been here before!

Dylan Sampson (13% rostered) / Jerome Ford (14% rostered), RBs, Browns

Of course, another rookie running back had to go down with an injury in Week 9—this time it was Quinshon Judkins who suffered a shoulder injury.

Dylan Sampson is the running back to target out of this backfield if we get news that Judkins will miss time. Judkins' last snap came with 8:24 remaining in the third quarter and by that time, the Browns were trailing against the Patriots. Sampson notched just three carries for no yards, but he did catch 5 of his 6 targets for 29 yards. If Sampson is rostered, Jerome Ford is an option, although it's not as ideal. Ford had no carries and 2 targets, so it's obvious that if Judkins missed Week 9 that Ford wouldn't be the featured back.

In Week 1, Sampson was RB9 in PPR, if you want to go down memory lane with me to that faraway place!!
