Seattle rolls ...
On Thursday night, Drake Maye came just one vote short of winning the NFL MVP award.
Tonight, he delivered one of the worst QB Super Bowl performances of all time in a 29-13 blowout loss.
In a Freaky Friday situation, Maye—not Sam Darnold—was the one seeing ghosts during the biggest game of his young career.
But let’s move on from the negatives for now (sorry, I’m just a salty fantasy bro who wanted to see a bunch of TDs) and instead give flowers to the victors, specifically the Seahawks defense (the real MVP), Kenneth Walker, Sam Darnold and sure, Jason Myers:
The Seattle D threw it back to the Legion of Boom era and accounted for 6 sacks, 3 turnovers and 1 TD.
KWIII, a man who was in a 50-50 timeshare for much of the season, rushed 27 times for 135 yards and earned MVP honors.
Darnold didn’t shine in this one, but he was a Ghostbuster and didn’t turn the ball over.
Myers—the hero we didn’t need, but certainly deserved—set a Super Bowl record with 5 field goals.
We’ll have more fallout from the game for you tomorrow, but for now…enjoy it, Seattle fans. You are the Super Bowl 60 champions.
Protein That Pops Off
Protein. You love it. You want it. And if you are chasing those gains, you’re definitely going to need it, pal. So, we looked at Pop-Tarts and thought, what if we added a pop of protein? The result: delicious frosted, gooey pastries with 10g of protein per serving that helps fuel you and taste ridiculously good. Train harder. Snack smarter. Pop off.

SEAHAWKS TEAM NEEDS: RB Return or Fresh Face?
A Super Bowl winner that was largely considered the most complete roster in the NFL would seem to not have any “real” needs. Once the confetti is cleaned up from the parade, Seattle GM John Schneider and his front office will get to work on filling what could be holes to the Seahawks’ roster. Ian Hartitz pointed out that one big one could be caused by the departure of a certain free agent RB:
“Running back certainly could have been one of the top-three needs with Kenneth Walker hitting free agency and Zach Charbonnet recovering from a torn ACL. Of course, it'd make sense if the Seahawks simply re-sign the artist known as K9, who remains one of the league's best pure tackle breakers and made more than a few massive plays for the offense down the stretch of 2025.”
But if the Seahawks let Walker walk, could they go into the draft? And can they get Jaxon Smith-Njigba some help? Ian has the breakdown of where they could be going. ⤵️

PATRIOTS TEAM NEEDS: Build Around Drake Maye
We saw Maye’s brilliance throughout the season, but it disappeared during Super Bowl 60, even so, the Patriots have themselves a DUDE at QB, and he’s not yet 24. He’s also on a rookie contract. Time to act fast, and Ian Hartitz has formulated what the Patriots should do to build around their star. And one of the major needs is at pass catcher:
Need 1: Wide Receiver
Stefon Diggs still proved to be capable of functioning as a legit No. 1 WR on his way to racking up 1,013 yards on an average of 9.9 yards per target—his best mark since 2019. Still, Diggs will be 33 next November, is facing some legal issues and has a contract that New England could get out of fairly easily if they desire.
The likes of Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas, Kyle Williams and Mack Hollins each had their moments in 2025, but New England has the cap space and draft capital to potentially make a serious move here for a legit stud. A reunion between Mike Vrabel and old friend A.J. Brown sure is provocative, while George Pickens (will he accept a franchise tag?) and Brandon Aiyuk (has he played his last snap in San Francisco?) could also feasibly be available in the trade streets.
Ian has more ways that the Patriots can improve on one of the best rosters in the NFL.⤵️
