Could You Make It More Obvious?
Not so clever posturing ...
You know it’s Draft Week when the NFL news and rumors are pouring out like a broken fire hose.
Let’s go rapid fire through all of the fun stuff that went down on Monday …
The Cardinals try to be sly. Adam Schefter reports that Arizona has had “exploratory calls” about trading the No. 3 overall pick while simultaneously threatening to take RB Jeremiyah Love with the pick if no one capitulates to their ransom demands. It would be a hilarious misuse of draft capital for the team to call their own bluff here, but you have to respect* them for playing their hand face up.
*laugh at
AJ Brown is a Patriot … ? This is the worst-kept secret in the league right now and even more so after Schefter said it is “likely” at this point. As if it couldn’t be any more obvious that New England is clearing the runway for AJB, they are also entertaining trade talks for Kayshon Boutte. If we’ve learned anything over the past couple of weeks, though, it’s that this New England organization doesn’t do well with keeping secrets.
The Cowboys throw a bag at their kicker. Brandon Aubrey is now the highest-paid kicker in NFL history after receiving a four-year extension. Just another classic case of Jerry Jones rewarding his stars with a fat contract and not trading them away impulsively.
Buyer’s remorse? Fresh off his massive new contract, Alec Pierce is now expected to miss three months recovering from ankle surgery. I hope they make the walking boot out of hundred-dollar bills.
If this is just from Monday, buckle up for the rest of the week …
Chase Glory For The Next 5 Years
The accomplishments are already significant for Ja’Marr Chase. OROY in 2021, compiling 1,455 receiving yards and 13 TDs. Again, he was a rookie! An otherworldly 127-1,708-17 Triple Crown season in 2024. Last season, with QB Joe Burrow missing nine games, Chase still posted a solid 125-1,412-8. He’s 26 and that’s his floor production. You can lock him in for more big production the next five seasons, and likely beyond.

NFL Draft
Where Will Jeremiyah Love Hear His Name Called?
No prospect has been talked about more than Jeremiyah Love leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft and every conversation either starts, or ends, with the same question: What team will draft Jeremiyah Love?
There have been rumors swirling early and often tied to the blue-chip prospect, with the most recent report indicating that he will land somewhere between the No. 3 pick and the No. 7 pick. Let’s go team by team through this segment of the draft to identify what his most likely landing spot will be.
🗽 New York Giants (1.05)
Odds to Draft Love: +450 (DraftKings)
This is where things get interesting. If Love makes it through the top four picks, we could very well see the Giants take a shot on the Notre Dame RB despite hitting on Cam Skattebo in last year’s draft.
As I mentioned over the weekend, the Giants and new HC John Harbaugh are “especially high” on RB Jeremiyah Love. Where there’s smoke, there’s often fire, and the Giants trading Dexter Lawrence to the Bengals in exchange for 1.10 certainly poured a few extra drops of gasoline onto this one. With two picks in the top 10 (1.05, 1.10), the Giants may feel more inclined to take Love at 1.05, knowing they can likely shore up a defensive need at 1.10.
That said, the odds are not in favor of Love being available at 1.05. Plus, the Giants had a known presence at Jordyn Tyson’s Friday workout last week, and GM Joe Schoen went as far as having dinner with the buzzy WR the night before the workout. As Peter Schrager notes, 1.05 may be a touch rich for Tyson, but the Giants could realistically see him fall to 1.10 and allow themselves to take a shot on shoring up a need on the defensive side of the ball with Sonny Styles or Caleb Downs.
Of the teams not favored to draft Love, the Giants are the team that I feel best about taking the shot if he’s available, but man, it would deal a massive blow to Cam Skattebo’s fantasy football value.

A New Weapon For Baker Mayfield?
Predicting fantasy football can be pretty difficult. Predicting fantasy football AND the NFL Draft?
Good luck.
With the draft just a few days away, so much is going to change when it comes to the fantasy landscape. And although madness is sure to ensue, let’s take out the crystal ball and try our best to see the future with three fantasy football predictions for the 2026 NFL Draft.
Kenyon Sadiq Becomes Tampa Bay’s Starting TE
While it is difficult to ignore Tampa Bay’s sudden need for secondary and linebacker help, let’s have some fun and plug Sadiq into this offense, shall we?
Bucs’ GM Jason Licht stated that if the team were to add a tight end in this draft, that player would have to bring an element that others in the tight end room simply don’t. Sadiq offers an entirely different dimension, running the fastest 40-yard dash by a tight end in NFL Scouting Combine history (4.39). He’s 6-foot-3 and 241 pounds, and can be used in ways that Cade Otton simply cannot.
Ian Hartitz broke down Sadiq’s game in his Kenyon Sadiq scouting report, pointing out that he was utilized all over the formation. Whether it be in-line, from the slot, out wide or even out of the backfield, Oregon found ways to get the football to Sadiq. His 34% screen rate was one of the highest we’ve seen from a tight end, while Sadiq made plenty of defenders miss after the catch. Over the past two seasons in Tampa Bay, meanwhile, Otton has seen just 9 total screen targets.
New offensive coordinator Zac Robinson utilized 12 personnel (2TE sets) 38% of the time last year in Atlanta, the second-highest rate in football. If he wants to implement a similar approach in Tampa Bay, especially with Mike Evans gone, adding a player like Sadiq could make a ton of sense.
