📅 The Biggest Games In 2022
New logo, who dis?? In addition to our makeover, we got some big announcements coming over the next week. We promise not to tease you as much as Drew Brees...
In today’s Fantasy Life Newsletter:
We discuss the Jarvis Landry signing and Jerry Jeudy arrest
Preview our three most anticipated games of the 2022 season
Take a glass half full approach to Jared Goff
Dive deeper into the NFL schedule and its fantasy ramifications
It’s 5/16. Take it away, Peter Overzet…
Before we dive into our most anticipated games of the 2022 season, we need to touch on a few pieces of news over the weekend...
Jarvis Landry, one of the last remaining FA dominoes, signed with New Orleans on Friday. The Saints finished last in the NFL in passing yards last year, but now appear to be on a better track after signing Landry, drafting Chris Olave 11th overall, and getting back a healthier Michael Thomas.
The question is, how will this shake out for fantasy? Mike Clay thinks something will have to give...
If everyone is healthy, the Saints have a lot of mouths to feed:
Alvin Kamara: ~20% target%
Michael Thomas ~25%
Chris Olave ~20%
Jarvis Landry ~20%
Trautman&TEs: ~18%
+Ingram/FB/other WRs: ~10%Math doesn't work.

The other big piece of news over the weekend was Jerry Jeudy getting arrested and appearing in court after a domestic violence incident. Details are still hard to come by, but he's set to appear in court again on May 31. The Broncos are "aware of the matter" and are "in the process of gathering more information."
🏟️Our Most Anticipated Games
With the schedule finally released, we asked a couple of our contributors to share with us the can't-miss game they have already circled on their calendars....
Week 1 TNF - Bills 🐃 @ Rams 🐏
I know it’s a bit cliché to pick the season opener as a game to look forward to but bear with me. Two contenders face off in a game that is chock full of fantasy football royalty. This matchup features two of last season’s Top 10 WRs in Cooper Kupp and Stefon Diggs and two of last season’s Top 10 QBs in Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford.
If that isn't enough to fill your enthusiasm plate, we also get Von Miller retuning to Los Angeles with his new team mere months after helping the Rams secure a Super Bowl win. - Linda
Week 15 MNF - Rams 🐏 @ Packers 🧀
Matthew Stafford makes his return to Lambeau Field as the reigning Super Bowl Champions visit the Frozen Tundra. This could be a pivotal matchup for playoff seedings (and a potential first-round bye) as both teams are projected to win at least 10 games, per Vegas Insider. The Packers know their window is closing with Aaron Rodgers so I’m circling this game as a potential NFC Championship Game preview. - Sam Wallace
Week 17 MNF - Bills 🐃 @ Bengals🐅
This is what we call the regular season hammer–the final game of Week 17 where season-long leagues will be determined and best ball tournament champions will be crowned.
It's hard to ask for a better finale than Bills and Bengals. Two high-powered offenses who play fast and love chucking the ball. In this matchup you'll have two Top 7 QBs (Josh Allen & Joe Burrow) and three Top 10 WRs (Ja'Marr Chase, Stefon Diggs, and Tee Higgins) on display. It doesn't get better than that. - Pete Overzet
💬Fantasy Watercooler
🤔 Drew Brees may do something.. and it might involve pickleball. Just don't ask for details, he'll let you know.
🤼♂️ Rachaad White vs. Ronald Jones?? Jones is now on the Chiefs, but apparently White does not like being compared to him. 🛌Playing on little rest. Last week we broke down which teams were flying the most and now ESPN's Brian Burke identifies which teams have the most short weeks in 2022.
⚡The Chargers won the schedule release. Hard to top an anime announcement. GG, everyone else.
🏁The players who will get off to a fast start. Nice thread here from Kyle Williams on which players have easy schedules to start the season.
🥛Glass Half Full: Jared Goff
The NFL offseason is all about hope. In this new series, our contributors will share the bull case for their favorite teams and players. Today, Sam Wallace offers a positive spin on Jared Goff and the beefed up Lions…
This probably feels weird to read and, trust me, it feels weird to write. However, Jared Goff is a low-key winner this offseason. Once a product of Sean McVay and the Rams’ potent offense, Goff now leads a surprisingly decent supporting cast in Detroit. Assuming health, the Lions have elite potential at all three levels.RB D’Andre Swift and TE T.J. Hockenson have immense upside at their respective positions. The team also added WR D.J. Chark via free agency and traded up to select Jameson Williams out of Alabama. Williams is recovering from a knee injury but should form a formidable trio with Chark and Amon-Ra St. Brown when he returns. Oh, and the Lions are projected to have an elite offensive line. Things could certainly be worse for Goff heading into 2022.

Trevor Lawrence was the most bulletproof prospect since Andrew Luck and a year later we're all praying he can figure out a way to give us Jacksonville Bortles fantasy numbers 🥲
