šŸ¤• Another Brutal QB Injury

Seriously, they can't catch a break

Let's pretend that MNF game didn't happen...

In todayā€™s Fantasy Life Newsletter presented by AMP:

  • Brutal MNF injuries

  • Buy/Sell/Hold. CD says nice things about the Broncos (JK)

  • Sam's Waiver Wire Diving: Week 15 pickups

  • Herbert is the real deal

  • It's 12/13. Take it away, Kendall Valenzuela...

Was this the most heartbreaking Monday Night Football game in recent memory? Here are all the injuries that happenedā€¦

šŸš‘ Kyler Murray carted off (knee)

Ugh, the Arizona Cardinals took a brutal blow when quarterback Kyler Murray was injured on the third play of the game. He was scrambling to avoid pressure, and it appeared that his knee gave out when he tried to evade a tackle from Matthew Judon.

The fear is that Murray suffered a serious knee injury, but other tests and an MRI will tell us more. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said in the postgame press conference that it "doesn't look good" for the quarterback.

šŸš‘ Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle)

Initially, things looked okay for Rhamondre Stevenson after he left the game in the first quarter and returned in the second after getting his ankle taped. But we canā€™t have nice things, and he was officially ruled out at the start of the second half.

šŸš‘ DeVante Parker (concussion)

Patriots wide receiver DeVante Parker was ruled out with a head injury at the 4:19 mark of the first quarter. Parker was probably not moving the fantasy needle, but with Jakobi Meyers ruled out earlier in the week, maybe someone was desperate enough to start him.

If the worst-case scenario plays out with Murray, then the Cardinals would be another team hit with awful injuries. Letā€™s take a look back at everything that has happened with Arizona this seasonā€¦

šŸ›‘ DeAndre Hopkins

Before the season even began, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was suspended for six games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. He returned to the squad and played his first game on October 20th against the New Orleans Saints.

šŸ›‘ Marquise Brown

Wide receiver Marquise Brown suffered a small fracture in his foot that thankfully did not require surgery but still kept him out of lineups for six weeks.

šŸ›‘ Zach Ertz

Tight end Zach Ertz went down in Week 10 and then was placed on injured reserve after having season-ending surgery on his knee.

šŸ›‘ Rondale Moore

Wide receiver Rondale Moore has been sidelined with a groin injury since the teamā€™s Week 11 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Seriously, that was a tough game and our thoughts go out to every player that got injured. Make sure to keep reading for Week 15 waiver wire targetsā€¦

This is Bamā€™s Backfield Now

With Michael Carterā€™s return, some were worried that Zonovan ā€œBamā€ Knight would lose touches and fade into a messy backfield. That was not the case on Sunday, and Knight passes the eye test. Warning: This link is not safe for work. (Editors note: Yes, it is. We promise.)

Knight saw his highest number of rushing attempts on the season with 17 for 71 yards and 1 TD. Compared to Carterā€™s 5 attempts for 5 yards, it looks like this is Bamā€™s backfield now.

Carter (6) did see more targets than Knight (2), but the scoreboard doesnā€™t lie. Before MNF, Knight finished in the top 15 at the position for the second week in a row. Carter? Wellā€¦ he did break into the top 50.

šŸ“The Denver Broncos are Back on Track

Woah! Hold your horses. Just because the Broncos saw a jolt of life on Sunday and Jerry Jeudyā€™s 3 TD game sparked joy into your fantasy lineups doesnā€™t mean we can ignore 13 weeks of data.

  1. Which team ranks dead last in points per game?

  2. Which team is one of only three in the NFL to be eliminated from the playoffs?

  3. Which team has a 50% birthday party participation (BPP) success rate?

The Broncos check all those boxes. Let's ride?

As of now, Iā€™ve got no hope left to give to this offense. Broncos Country, my hopes were high. Iā€™d love to see more big Jeudy games, but I need Nathaniel Hackett to do it again (and then maybe again) before I can feel comfortable. Not to go full clichĆ©, but donā€™t be sad itā€™s over, just be happy it finally happened.

šŸ¬Christmas Killed the Miami Dolphins

Okay, I donā€™t think anyone has actually claimed this (until now), but Iā€™m selling it anyways.

I know the Dolphins were on fire with a 5-win streak, only to abruptly lose that stride against the 49ers in Week 13. And I know that loss came on the first weekend in December, a time when many Americans find themselves decorating for the holidays. And sure, I know Tua Tagovailoa loves to celebrate, and that extra time spent wrapping gifts takes away from his field preparation.

And sure, Miami looked terrible in their second game of December when their biggest offensive play was a fumble. But you canā€™t honestly believe Christmas killed the Miami Dolphinsā€¦

šŸ”„ Dan Campbell has found the next Hall of Fame tight end. He just needs to lose some weight.

šŸ˜ Need more help with the waiver wire? We have you covered.

šŸ„¶ļø We need to put some respect on Justin Herbertā€™s name. Heā€™s not just a social media quarterback.

šŸ¤” Are NFL teams getting soft? This stat tells you everything you need to know.

šŸ—£ Forget the high-scoring Detroit Lions. We want a piece of this team.

šŸ† Who was your fantasy football hero in Week 14? I bet we can guess.

šŸ¤• If Monday nightā€™s football game doesnā€™t force you to get a physical, we donā€™t know what will.

šŸ˜‚ This cornerback is changing his position. Jalen Hurts can make him elite.

šŸ˜” It's time to give up on this RB. Acceptance is the first step of recovery.

Waivers Header

Waivers are a crucial component of fantasy football, and nabbing the next league winner ahead of your leaguemates can help you edge out that title. Each Tuesday, Sam Wallace will highlight players to target in your redraft leagues.

Weā€™ve made it. The Fantasy Playoffs are upon us. If youā€™re still in the hunt for that ever-elusive championship, letā€™s get down to business.

RB Zonovan Knight (45% available) was the hot waiver-wire addition last week, and he came through against a tough Bills defense with 15.7 fantasy points.

Make sure Knight is on your roster. He is, once again, the top waiver add this week.

You canā€™t take your FAAB with you. Spend it. Letā€™s get to it.

āž• WR DJ Chark

  • Available in 60% of leagues

This is the offense you want to be a part of heading into your fantasy playoffs. The Lions are averaging 32 points per game over their last five games and had four different WRs top 40 receiving yards this week.

WR DJ Chark topped 90 receiving yards for the second straight week and has two TDs over his last three games. His 18% target share in Week 14 highlights the depth of Detroit's weapons, but his 28% receiving yards share signifies his downfield role on this offense.

Chark is a must-add in all formats.

FAAB: 40%

āž• WR Zay Jones

  • Available in 49% of leagues

A bounce-back game was a welcome sight for WR Zay Jones. All season, heā€™s been right there with fellow WR Christian Kirk in targets, but it was the TD disparity that was hurting Jones.

Jones has 10+ targets in three of his last four games, and he finally scored just his second TD in Week 14. Massive target volume on an offense that is starting to come into its own makes Jones an easy addition in all formats.

FAAB: 35%

āž• WR Donovan Peoples-Jones

  • Available in 42% of leagues

A good portion of the fantasy community has it figured out, but the other 42% of you should go pick up WR Donovan Peoples-Jones.

The return of QB Deshaun Watson helped Peoples-Jones top 100 receiving yards for the first time this season. He only has one receiving TD on the year but has nine games with at least 50 receiving yards. Peoples-Jones has the athletic profile and upside to win you your league title. Get him on your fantasy squad.

FAAB: 35%
