A Huge WR Domino Finally Falls
Diggs to WAS ...
The writing has been on the wall for weeks now, but yesterday we officially got confirmation that Stefon Diggs will be joining the Washington Commanders on a one-year deal worth up to $12M.
These type of events demand the classic Winners/Losers treatment for fantasy purposes, so let’s get to it …
WINNERS
Stefon Diggs - This is a perfect fit for the veteran WR. He joins a team with an Elite QB and a glaring hole at slot WR. He’ll be the perfect sidekick to Terry McLaurin.
Dwain’s projection update: The WR2 in Washington with an 81% route participation rate and 21% target share. Moves up nine spots in ranks to WR4 territory. Offers WR2 upside if he plays in a full-time role.
Jayden Daniels - Another weapon for a QB who was already poised to smash his ADP this year.
Dwain’s projection update: Small boost to passing YPA and TDs per attempt. Moves up to QB3 in ranks.
NEUTRAL
Terry McLaurin - His role is insulated, so I’m not worried about Diggs’ impact on his fantasy value. If anything, a knock in targets should be offset with more efficiency and less defensive attention.
Dwain’s projection update: Still the WR1, but small deduction to target share. Drops one spot in ranks to WR27.
LOSERS
Chig Okonkwo & Antonio Williams - These two aren’t huge losers, but they were previously priced as if Washington wasn’t going to sign anyone. Wait for their prices to get slightly cheaper and then they’ll become decent targets again.
Dwain’s projection update: Chig - Small haircut to target share. Mid-range TE2 with low-end TE1 upside (my TE16) … Williams - Still projecting as the WR3 as the primary slot option, but will monitor. Took routes and targets down. Drops nine spots in ranks to WR71. (bench stash in deep leagues).
Brandon Aiyuk - Maybe don’t crash out next time and burn your last remaining bridge?

Kendall is back with her weekly mailbag, and the SiriusXM community filled up the mailbox with plenty of questions. Could an RB not named Robinson or Gibbs be RB1 overall? What does TreVeyon Henderson have to do to vault into RB1 status? What’s next for Terry McLaurin?
