5 Big Days From A Gross Sunday

Week 13 recap ...

We knew yesterday was going to be ugly, but I didn’t expect it to be that ugly.

The Rams lost, Matthew Stafford threw two picks, and Bryce Young was the highest scoring QB … with 22.5 points.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba had his worst game of the season with only 3.3 points. If you were looking for WR points, SEA/MIN was definitely not the location.

The Colts looked awful in their 20-16 loss to the Texans and Jonathan Taylor scored only 7.6 points in the process.

But it wasn’t all bad. Here are the heroes who salvaged solid fantasy days amid the rubble of the Week 13 disaster site …

🏅 Bijan Robinson (27.8 fp) - Bijan now has three-straight games with 100+ yards from scrimmage. He continues to be a threat both on the ground (23-142-1) and through the air (5-51). It’s hard to tilt the Tyler Allgeier usage (8-20-1) when he’s feasting like this. The floor—only one game under 10 points all year—is everything you could hope for from a first-round pick.

🏅 Brock Bowers (20.3 fp) - Well, well, well. Let’s do some math: Bowers gets healthy + a change at OC = fantasy points. These weren’t all layups either—check out the degree of difficulty on this TD catch. There are only a few players in the league capable of making a play like that (and Puka Nacua is one of the other ones).

🏅 Kimani Vidal (20.2 fp) - Wait, you didn’t play Vidal after his poor Week 11? Everyone knows that every other week he smashes:

This is some numerology b.s. or something

Bizarre splits and inconsistency aside, Vidal deserves to be on the short-list of 2025 waiver wire gems. Unfortunately, his boxscores are likely to look more like Weeks 5, 7, 9, and 11 with Omarion Hampton set to return next week.

🏅 Adonai Mitchell (20.2 fp) - Sometimes someone just needs a change of scenery. That certainly appears to be the case for Mitchell, who exploded for 8 receptions, 102 yards (he was the only player to clear this Sunday), and 1 TD today vs. the Falcons. Dwain put together a list of other surprise fantasy performers from Week 13. It’s that time of year, I suppose.

🏅 Davante Adams (19.8 fp) - Ho hum, Adams hauled in two more TDs vs. the Panthers. He now has 11 TDs in his last 5.5 games, which doesn’t seem possible. I know Puka is a team player and all, but he has to be just a little bit miffed that he’s a ghost when they enter the red zone at this point.

What We Learned From Every Week 13 Game …

Bucky Irving’s return headlined the Week 13 Sunday slate, as he made his first appearance in a game since Week 4, and Head Coach Todd Bowles mentioned it could be a hot hand situation.

Rachaad White got the start and first carry. In the end, Irving came through. Irving had the majority of the touches in the backfield despite playing only 54% of the snaps in the Buccaneers 20-17 win over the Cardinals.

Irving had 17 carries for 61 yards with a TD and caught two passes for 20 yards. He had another TD called back due to a holding penalty. White had five touches, and Sean Tucker had two. It’s a great sign that Irving will be the lead back going forward.

Let’s dive into the rest of the good, bad and ugly from the Week 13 Sunday slate with Adam Ronis …

Looking Ahead to Week 14 with Kendall …

Welcome to the Week 14 waiver wire run. I hope the turkey hangover didn't hit you too hard this year! Week 13 started off with a bang between the three Thanksgiving Day games and the Black Friday showdown between the Bears and the Eagles … and then Sunday happened. Trevor Lawrence and Jakobi Meyers combining for over 40 fantasy points? Adonai Mitchell and Devaughn Vele touchdowns? What the hell is going on!?

It's time to keep your foot on the gas pedal. We are officially one week away from the fantasy playoffs (for most of us) and these next few days are going to be pivotal for fantasy success. It's not a horrific late-season bye week like we had in 2024, but there are still some heavy hitters set to be out this week. The Panthers, Patriots, Giants and 49ers all get the week off so that could mean you're without a big tight end like George Kittle or you'll need to be searching the waiver wire for a Drake Maye quarterback replacement. Either way Fantasy Life is here for you!

All rostership percentages are from Yahoo and, as always, I try to focus on highlighting players less than 40% rostered. Also, don't forget our Waiver Wire Tool, which will have even more targets on a weekly basis.

Blake Corum, RB, Rams (16% rostered)

Kyren Williams went to the locker room briefly on Sunday with an apparent leg injury, but was able to return to the field and finish the game. Still, this highlights how important those running back handcuffs are, so if Blake Corum is floating around on your waiver wire, now is the time to scoop him up. Corum finished with seven carries for 81 yards and a touchdown and would be an immediate RB1 if Williams were ever to miss time.

Malik Davis, RB, Cowboys (2% rostered)

This is for deep formats, but Malik Davis is someone to consider picking up, especially if Javonte Williams is on your roster! Davis found the end zone on Thursday and it was the first time since the 2022 season that Davis had a rushing touchdown. You may not know Davis since he has been waived a total of five times—including three in 2025 alone—but he's worth the stash right now. He finished with three carries for 47 yards and looks to be the backup to Williams, as opposed to the rookie Jaydon Blue.

Luther Burden, WR, Bears (10% rostered)

I know that "7.6 fantasy points on a Friday" isn't the sexiest fantasy boxscore, but Luther Burden still gets another week being highlighted in this article. He locked down four catches on six targets for 33 yards against the Eagles and turned one carry into three yards. He finished second on the team in receiving yards and was tied with Colston Loveland and Rome Odunze for the team-high in targets. The Bears are taking on the Packers in a huge matchup in Week 14, and we should count on Burden to continue to get involved.
