It’s Tuesday, which means two things:
1.) Injury news is rolling in
2.) There are waiver moves to be made
😥 Tracy time. Ugh, Cam Skattebo is officially done for the year with a dislocated ankle. He had successful surgery yesterday and received a slice of ‘za from Big Dom in the hospital, but it’s the Tyrone Tracy show in New York. In case it needs to be said explicitly, he should be added everywhere (currently rostered in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues). Also, don’t forget the guy behind the guy in New York, who Kendall outlines here.
📆 Quinshon Judkins is day-to-day. Aren’t we all, am I right, haha?! I wouldn’t go crazy on bids here, but still worth trying to sneak Dylan Sampson by for cheap in case the Judkins outlook worsens.
⚰️ Carson Wentz is done for the year? That happened quickly. It’s hard to tell who is being “soft benched” for whom these days, but J.J. McCarthy is officially your Vikings starter going forward (I stopped myself from writing “for the rest of the year” for a reason, sorry Thor). He’s worth an add if you are in need of some QB upside.
🚑️ Tutu Atwell to IR. This doesn’t have massive ramifications, but it keeps Jordan Whittington on the radar. Over the past two games, he’s run 68% of the routes and earned a 12% target share.
💥 One bonus move: This isn’t injury-related, but the Cardinals surprisingly released Michael Carter yesterday. You can’t get your Week 5 FAAB money back, but I suppose you can take a stab on Emari Demarcado or D’Ernest Johnson (I’m assuming Zonovan Knight has already been plucked off your waivers).

Yup, those who were looking to pour dirt on the Kansas City Chiefs after they started 2-3, think again. Patrick Mahomes has thrown 14 TD passes in the last five games. Rashee Rice is back as his WR1. Travis Kelce went vintage. That trio went big as the Chiefs beat the Commanders, 28-7, on MNF to further announce that they’re not going away.
Kelce capped off TE Weekend with a throwback performance.
This Rice cooked the secondary all night.
Patrick, do you have to make such a hard throw look so easy?

The #1 Utilization Takeaway From Week 8 is …
Tyrone Tracy Jr. is the new RB1 in New York.
Cam Skattebo suffered a dislocated ankle one snap into the third drive during the Giants' Week 8 game. After his departure, Tracy controlled the backfield over a seven-possession sample.
Snaps: 78%
Attempts: 67%
Routes: 68%
Targets: 16%
Tracy wasn't able to get much going with his opportunities, only scoring 7.3 points, but better days should be ahead. Last season, Tracy took over the starting role from Week 5 through Week 18, averaging 13.2 points per game with a 77 Utilization Score.
The second-year back could outperform last year's numbers with Jaxson Dart stressing defenses in new ways with his rushing ability. Tracy was a WR for his first four seasons at Iowa before transferring to Purdue, where he switched to RB. His pass-catching chops could come in handy on a team without many strong passing-game options.
Tracy's historical Utilization Score comparisons averaged 14.9 points per game, with 95% performing as top-24 RBs.
RB1 to RB12 performers: 33%
RB13 to RB24 performers: 62%
RB25 to RB36 performers: 5%
Tracy UPGRADES to low-end RB2 territory and offers low-end RB1 upside. He is available in 51% of Yahoo leagues and is a PRIORITY WAIVER WIRE TARGET.

Early Week 9 Rankings: Just Had to Wait for Ladd
Yes, we heard the early-season rumblings surrounding Ladd McConkey. In the first five games of the season, this 2024 breakout surpassed 48 receiving yards just once. Other WRs were going off for the Chargers, yet Ladd was hardly putting up more than a flickering light instead of the usual bolts of electricity last season. Then in Week 6 he started a run where in the next three games he’d draw 34 targets. Is all now well in Charger land as well as your fantasy rosters?
Ian Hartitz dropped his early Week 9 rankings, where he showcases players who are climbing up the rankings, like Drake Maye. Seriously, how can you keep him out of your Top 6? Ian also dives into Jonathan Taylor’s historic greatness through the first eight games of the season. Of course there are charts and all sorts of goodness for fantasy land. ⬇️
