While seemingly every early-round WR is getting dinged up—ugh, Luther Burden is out at least a month with a groin injury—there has been plenty of positive buzz surrounding the late-round rookie WRs.

Rookies to Watch
Ja’Kobi Lane (Ravens) – ADP ~196 / Super Model rating: 72
Every time I log in to X, I'm inundated with more Lane propaganda. He has been making contested catches, one-handed grabs and winning against top corners. ESPN's Jamison Hensley said it's "the best rookie training camp he's seen in 27 years” covering the Ravens and HCh Jesse Minter said he's starting to see a "vision of what he can become in the offense."
Fantasy spin: While there is clearly some insane hyperbole going on here, I'm very interested in whoever wins the WR2 job in Baltimore. I will go ahead and prioritize Lane over Rashod Bateman and Elijah Sarratt for as long as this drumbeat continues.
Ted Hurst (Buccaneers) – ADP ~203 / Super Model rating: 71
Like Lane, Hurst has been making highlight grabs in training camp and displaying "amazing body control." With Mike Evans gone and Jalen McMillan now dealing with a knee injury, Hurst has a clear opportunity to be the guy the Bucs trust to win on the outside.
Fantasy spin: If Hurst beats out McMillan for the X role, he will be fantasy relevant this year. He's one of my favorite late-round clicks right now.
Caleb Douglas (Dolphins) – ADP ~213 / Super Model rating: 69
No one wants to deal with the Dolphins pass catchers, but I'm always open to throwing a dart on a rookie who is making noise. Douglas has been connecting with Malik Willis on deep and contested throws. NFL Network's Cameron Wolf thinks Douglas could "make a big Year 1 impact."
Fantasy spin: There is not a WR room in the league with more targets up for grabs than Miami. With third-round capital, it wouldn't be crazy to think Douglas could contribute right out of the gate.
Cyrus Allen (Chiefs) – ADP ~194 / Super Model rating: 64
Allen generated a lot of early buzz in camp with some highlight plays before ultimately missing some time with a shin bruise. I'm more skeptical of this one because 1) he is the most expensive and 2) the Chiefs have a long track record of slow-playing their rookies.
Fantasy spin: I prefer Tyquan Thornton late for now if rounding out Chiefs stacks, but we'll keep tabs on this one.

WR Tiers: Final Leg of the Quartet is Here
One of the best quartets in all of the fantasy football space is Dwain McFarland’s tiers articles. He goes position by position, breaking up the players into groups that are comparable enough to one another that when you’re on the clock, you have what you need to make the right decision. He saved the biggest position for last: Wide Receivers. That position where sometimes you’ll need to draft four (or more) to fill out your starting lineup.
Dwain goes into great detail to break ties between players within tiers—How to pick between Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Amon-Ra St. Brown and CeeDee Lamb? And this article doesn’t just focus on the prominent players. It goes 14 tiers, all the way to players who are dart throws in the late rounds of deep leagues.
