A 23 Year-Old WR Is Still Growing??!
A bombshell revelation out of Dallas

In today’s Fantasy Life Newsletter presented by LMNT:

It’s 5/26. Take it away, Peter Overzet…
We've been joking about the overused "best shape of their life" trope, but what about a player literally growing half an inch? Because that's apparently what happened to Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb this offseason...
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb said he grew half an inch and gained 10 pounds of muscle this offseason.
On if he’s ready to take over as the team’s No. 1 WR: “I’ve been ready. That’s just me and my competitiveness. That’s in my nature. I’m always ready for my name to be called.”

I mean, that's just nuts. I was a late bloomer who grew a couple inches in college, but gaining a half inch at age 23? Is that even possible? Can we talk to a doctor or something and verify this?
Oh no, I think I just became a CeeDee Lamb height truther. It's a slippery slope, next thing you know I'll be showing up at Cowboys practice with a tape measure.
Regardless, it's clearly time to adjust the ranks. Not only do we have a taller Lamb, but there's a budding QB-WR summer bromance too...
Dak Prescott asked for CeeDee Lamb’s locker to be moved next to his: “My 2 other locker mates left, so I was a little lonely. With him being young, hopefully he’s my WR until I’m done playing. Just bring him closer, more conversations, he’s right there to talk and communicate.”

😲 Guess who's back?? Colin Kaepernick, who last played professional football in 2016, had a workout with a team yesterday.
📅 Who will start Week 1 for the Steelers?? Uh oh, Kenny Pickett does not like to hear that.
🤝 The four worst words in fantasy...running back by committee. See which coach uttered the dreaded words about their backfield.
⛳ Of course Tom Brady has drone footage of his hole-in-one. It's honestly annoying how likable and seemingly perfect Tom Brady is at everything he does.
👐 An expanded role for Nyheim Hines? Hines got relegated last year with Jonathan Taylor's emergence, but they could certainly use his pass catching chops at WR.
Sam Wallace is back to share a couple players to target in dynasty and keeper leagues. Take it away, Sam…
🛍️ Travis Etienne (RB)
DLF’s May 2022 Superflex Dynasty ADP - RB15, Round 5, Pick 3
Travis Etienne, a first-round pick last season, is essentially entering his rookie year. He suffered a foot injury in a preseason game that cost him the entire 2021 season. A highly-regarded prospect, Etienne rushed for almost 5,000 yards in college and hauled in at least 37 passes in each of his final two seasons at Clemson.
The Jaguars significantly addressed the WR position this offseason, but haven’t done anything to their RB room. Undrafted star James Robinson continues to work his way back from an achilles injury, which leaves Etienne as the RB1 to work alongside his college QB Trevor Lawrence.
Jerry Jeudy is another player looking to bounce back. The QB upgrade to Russell Wilson is obvious, but it’s the talent and opportunity that should excite fantasy managers.

Jeudy averaged over five targets per game and a 20% target share in his 10 healthy games. The loss of Noah Fant could open up more opportunities for Jeudy as the third-year wideout looks to rejoin the stellar group of comps he had coming out of college.
His off-the-field issues will need to be monitored as he had a run-in with local police recently, but a productive season is within reach.

The NFL offseason is all about hope. In this new series, our contributors will share the bull case for their favorite teams and players. Today, Linda shares why Zach Wilson is ready to take a second-year leap…
“He’s thick” - Robert Saleh on QB Zach Wilson as the Jets OTAs kicked off earlier this week. If there’s a player that has been gift-wrapped everything they need to succeed in 2022, it's Wilson.
It all started in free agency when the Jets signed former 49ers OT Laken Tomlinson to help protect their gunslinger, who was sacked 44 times last season in only 13 games. The Jets also attacked the TE position, grabbing two strong pass-catchers and blockers in C.J Uzomah and Tyler Conklin.
In the NFL Draft, the Jets did even more to surround Wilson with offensive weapons. They added former Ohio State WR Garrett Wilson. They followed that pick up in the second round by taking the best RB in the 2022 class, Breece Hall. The rookies join sophomore WR Elijah Moore and RB Michael Carter.
Coming off an injury to finish the last seven games of 2021, Wilson averaged 14.7 PPG and that was without Moore or veteran WR Corey Davis. Of the QBs that played at least six games in that same stretch, Wilson finished QB12 in total points and QB15 in PPG.
The combination of youth, experience, and speed that GM Joe Douglas surrounded Zach Wilson with is enough to view the glass as half full. A top-12 finish is a lofty expectation, but he’s a certified QB2 with QB1 upside, which makes him a streamer's dream and an excellent target for those in superflex drafts looking for their QB2.
You can draft Wilson in Underdog Fantasy's Best Ball Mania III draft with a $2,000,000 prize to first. If you've yet to sign up, Fantasy Life subscribers get up to a $100 deposit match on Underdog when you use promo code LIFE.
