2 Injuries = 2 Waiver Wire Gems

Week 11 waivers ...

It’s starting to look like a lost season for Bucky Irving and Chris Godwin. They didn’t suit up after the bye and yesterday, Todd Bowles said neither of them has a timetable for return.

Woof.

On the flip side, there are two waiver wire gems emerging in their absence.

Since Week 7, Tez Johnson is second behind only Emeka Egbuka in target share (16%) and has turned in two top-20 weeks, including a two-touchdown, 20.2-point outing on Sunday vs. the Patriots. Next up? A potential shootout vs. the Bills in Week 11.

And before you tell me that Tez is long gone in your league, let the record show that he is still available in 68% of Yahoo leagues. At only 165 pounds, he should theoretically be easy to pick up (sorry, it’s been a long season).

But the real gem worth monitoring here—who is more likely to be available in your league—is Bucs RB Sean Tucker.

With the Bucky outlook looking murkier by the week, Tucker becomes a super-intriguing stash.

Over the past two weeks, he’s forced a true rushing split with Rachaad White:

  • White: 13 & 10 attempts

  • Tucker: 12 & 9 attempts

He’s also been more efficient than White (admittedly not hard to do) while also becoming the first RB to top 50 rushing yards vs. the Patriots.

Regardless of how long Bucky is out, White is never going to fully go away. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see Tucker flip him in the rushing department, which would position him as a very startable RB2/FLEX option down the stretch.

He’s the exact type of player you want to be stashing on your bench right now.

About Last Night …

If you needed fantasy points for a Monday night miracle, well, take solace that you won’t have to face Jonathan Taylor next week—his bye week. As for the Eagles-Packers NFC battle royale, the 10-7 score reminded us of the game that started the week on TNF. Both defenses came to play, with neither QB hitting 200 yards. Tough one on a chilly night at Lambeau Field.

The #1 Utilization Takeaway From Week 10 Is …

Aaron Jones has taken over the RB1 role in Minnesota.

We have a two-week trend suggesting that Jones has moved into the pole position in the Vikings' backfield.

In Week 9, Jones handled 77% of the snaps before an AC joint injury knocked him out of the game. The veteran back followed that up with a 72% snap share in Week 10. Jones posted an 84 Utilization Score with 15.9 fantasy points against the Ravens. He controlled 69% of the rushing attempts and notched a 63% route participation rate and 15% target share.

The Vikings fell behind in Week 10 against the Ravens, so some of Jones' role improvement could be due to the game script. However, he has bogarted 96% of the snaps in the first quarter and 76% in the first half of the last two games, which points toward a shift in approach by Minnesota's coaching staff.

Last season, Jones garnered a 78 Utilization Score under Kevin O'Connell, which appears in range again for the rest of the 2025 campaign. If we blend that score with what we have seen over the last two games, an 80 Utilization Score feels about right.

Based on that score, Jones' 42 historical comparisons averaged 15.5 fantasy points, with the bulk of them finishing between RB7 and RB18.

  • RB1 to RB6 performers: 17%

  • RB7 to RB12 performers: 29%

  • RB13 to RB18 performers: 33%

  • RB19 to RB24 performers: 17%

  • RB25 to RB30 performers: 5%

The Vikings' schedule over the next few games is average, but it is favorable from Week 14 to 16. Below is a summary of the fantasy boost their opponents have provided to RB units.

  • Week 11: Bears (0.7)

  • Week 12: Packers (-6.5)

  • Week 13: Seahawks (-1.9)

  • Week 14: Commanders (2.4)

  • Week 15: Cowboys (5.5)

  • Week 16: Giants (6.9)

  • Week 17: Lions (-3.6)

Based on the open trade database at FantasyCalc, Jones can be attained for a reasonable price if you are hurting at RB. Players who were moved for Jones on Monday (11/10):

  • Jauan Jennings

  • Garrett Wilson (injured)

  • Brian Thomas Jr.

  • Rashid Shaheed

Jones UPGRADES to mid-range RB2 territory and offers borderline RB1 upside.

Early Week 11 Rankings: Don’t Look Back Hendo!

Like a lightning bolt, actually two of them, TreVeyon Henderson announced himself as an electric force in the NFL with his performance on Sunday. Finally, the fantasy community can celebrate the two TD runs over 50 yards and a total of 147 yards on 14 carries. And his performance could’ve been even better:

“While Henderson's trio of goal-line stuffs on the same drive were indeed annoying, give the rookie credit for not falling for the most fatal fantasy sin of them all: Going down at the 1-yard line instead of scoring a TD. The rookie is somehow fast enough to literally check with his sideline to see if he should score or not!”

That was part of Ian Hartitz’s breakdown in the Week 11 Early Rankings, where he goes position by position to note which players are jumping up and moving down the ranks heading into the new week. It’s getting to be crunch time, so you don’t want to miss this.⬇️
