2 Big Concerns Put To Rest?
Rashee Rice news...
Before yesterday, there were two main concerns about Rashee Rice:
He was in jail.
He was recovering from surgery in his right knee.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how is the outlook for your third-round selection in 2026 fantasy football drafts?
Well, Rice seemingly put both of those concerns to rest on Tuesday after he was released from a Dallas County jail and seen running to a black SUV that was waiting to whisk him away.
Per the team, his rehab has been going according to plan and they fully expect things to return to normal going forward.
Now, this is Rashee Rice we are talking about, so you are never fully “in the clear,” but I think it’s reasonable to treat him as a viable fantasy selection in future drafts provided his rehab continues on a positive trajectory.
He’s still not my favorite selection in Round 3—give me DeVonta Smith or Chris Olave over him if you want a WR in that range—but if health and legal issues are in the rearview mirror, I won’t stop you from clicking on the man who can’t stop chiefing on the reefer.
If you are on the fence, sync your league settings with our new Draft Guide and see how he stacks up. He is much more valuable selection in PPR leagues than standard ones.
My preference, however, would be to play the Chiefs through the cheaper pass catchers Xavier Worthy (camp MVP), Travis Kelce (sun-kissed), and even Tyquan Thornton (the forgotten man who probably shouldn’t be forgotten).
Rice might ultimately be fine, but it’s possible to find similar points without the headache.

Going High And … Tight Ends That Is
Savvy fantasy managers know that to have an elite TE, or even a player with potential to break out and become an elite TE, these assets are to be held tight like a first-born child. Well, maybe not that extreme, but not that far off. We love ourselves a cheat code at this position of scarcity. That’s why Sam Wallace, in updating his latest dynasty rankings, gave this position of scarcity some extra attention. Him being a Packers fan, he has more insight into how to approach Tucker Kraft in returning from a torn ACL last season. ⤵️
Going Once … Going Twice …
Yes, snake drafts may be king when it comes to fantasy football, but if you’re looking to get some spice in your redraft life, try an auction. While you can get up to get a drink or more food in between picks in a snake draft, there’s very little getting up during an auction draft, because once, twice and Josh Allen could be gone to one of your competitors. That’s because you can bid on LITERALLY EVERY PLAYER.
It doesn’t mean you’ll get them all, but an auction gives you the real possibility of acquiring multiple first-round picks onto the same team. That just raises the ante, and gives you thoughts of Ja’Marr Chase and Bijan Robinson on the same squad. We can dream, right. Jonathan Fuller offers up some tips for newbies to auctions, including having some set limits on how much of your budget to spend on a player:
It is helpful to have player values to anchor to, but I would strongly encourage new auction drafters not to be scared to go above that value for a player that you really want. You need elite players to win in fantasy football. You wouldn't win a league with a bunch of sixth-round picks, and the same is true in auction leagues; you will need to spend up to get league winners on your team.
